"On the map, states with the highest levels of support for Christian nationalism form a horseshoe shape, starting in the upper Midwest, dipping down into the deep South, and then moving up again through the Appalachian Mountains. There are five states in which more than 45% of residents are Christian nationalism Adherents or Sympathizers: North Dakota (50%), Mississippi (50%), Alabama (47%), West Virginia (47%), and Louisiana (46%)." ~ PRRI Worth noting that all these states are among those taking the most funding from the Federal government--at bottom is Louisiana at 43%-- to keep the state running: I wonder what these guys would do if the feds stopped underwriting states that routinely violated federal law. What roads would they drive on? Who would clean up after disasters if FEMA didn't ride to their rescue?

🔥New Blog post🔥 We're thrilled to share that California has taken a significant step in aiding those affected by the Woolsey and Camp Fires of 2018. On October 8, 2023, Governor Newsom signed Assembly Bill 1500 into law, providing homeowners with a three-year extension for property reassessment. The Camp Fires and Woolsey Fires were devastating, leaving a trail of destruction and heartache. The Camp Fires, sparked by a faulty electrical wire, and the Woolsey Fires, allegedly ignited by equipment owned by SoCal Edison, reshaped communities and lives. Our team at CaseyGerry represented those impacted by the Camp Fires, fighting for justice against PG&E. Due to the challenges posed by litigation, settlement delays, and the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, residents faced hurdles in rebuilding their homes. But now, there's good news! AB 1500 grants homeowners an additional three years to rebuild before the full reassessment of their properties, extending the initial five-year timeline. WASHINGTON — The Internal Revenue Service today further postponed tax deadlines for most California taxpayers to Nov. 16, 2023. In the wake of last winter’s natural disasters, the normal spring due dates had previously been postponed to Oct. 16. As a result, most individuals and businesses in California will now have until Nov. 16 to file their 2022 returns and pay any tax due. Fifty-five of California's 58 counties—all except Lassen, Modoc and Shasta counties—qualify. IRS relief is based on three different FEMA disaster declarations covering severe winter storms, flooding, landslides, and mudslides over a period of several months.

Phase 1 will include 4 bridges across the Elbow River, Bow River, Deerfoot Trail and Blackfoot Trail. Plus 2 tunnels under the Beltline and through the downtown floodplain. Why not minimize risks by building at ground level and save taxpayers $Billions?
