We caught up with Ilaria Resta, CEO Audemars Piguet, at an Art Basel event hosted by Audemars Piguet, Vanity Fair and in collaboration with The Female Quotient. She explained the concept of “circular leadership” which is about putting leaders in the center. Unlike traditional hierarchies that position leaders at the top, disconnected from the day-to-day, circular leadership places leaders at the center—fully engaged with their teams, listening to those doing the work, and witnessing collaboration. It’s an approach that prioritizes connection, empathy, and understanding, and it just makes sense for impactful leadership in today’s world. Thank you, Ilaria, for sharing this game-changing perspective. It’s a leadership philosophy we can all learn from.

Congratulations! I think you say so much with few words. Yes, it’s hard when someone look from the base of the pyramid to understand how hard, how much loneliness and responsibility are on the top. I admire you because you always militate for the women’s right and also you try to show reality about this vertical climb in position you are today. Please be the center of the AP circle but remain near the loyal AP watches lovers because in the end we are the support of this base! I think you try to give one of the most precious gift and this is to share from your experiences with others. It’s amazing. Probably many people will not have opportunity to hear this valuable experience you expose here on other interviews. I hope who hear this interview to stay a little and reflect to your words. Congratulations Mrs. Ilaria Resta!
