The Peacebuilders' Manifesto Has five demands from local peacebuilders. #PeaceStartsHere is the global movement for local peacebuilders, co-created by 10 local peacebuilders. We want to change attitudes and behaviours in the peacebuilding sector. When we are supported by the wider international community we strengthen our local efforts, expanding and protecting the civic spaces we operate in. In consultation with other local peacebuilders, we call on international institutions, Global North governments and NGOs to implement these five tasks #PeaceStartsHere

Good guidance for addressing substantial issues in emergencies and long-term development programming.
📣 We just completed our General Assembly... which means our 2023 Annual Report is now approved for release! 🌍 The report includes 20 pages (20 through 39) of updates from around the world because 'around the world' is precisely where most of our activities take place, led locally by our wonderful, dedicated and growing network of focal points, members, trainers and other Sphere champions - who we cannot congratulate and thank enough! 🙏 💯 And while most Sphere activities may be locally led, our small - but highly efficient 😉 - team were actively involved in enough activities to need 11 pages (5 through 15) to summarise! 📓 We'd ❤️ you to read our longest annual report ever... But failing that, please enjoy the photos and beautiful illustrations (by Lydia Thornley)! Download here: https://lnkd.in/gHk-Xqq6 With 🙏 to our contributors: Amha Ermias (PhD), Josiane Naoussi, Samuel BEKAYO, Md Mehedi Hasan, Avianto Amri, Mas Anang, Sawako Matsuo, Zunaira Shams (Community World Service Asia), Martin Villarroel Garcia & Magdalena Medrano Velasco, Daniel Arteaga, Ricardo Treno (Fraternity – International Humanitarian Missions (FIHM)), Talha Keskin (IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation), Subhashis Roy (Evangelical Lutheran Church in America), and Vanda Lengkong (Plan International). You make Sphere possible. You make this report what it is. YOU ARE SPHERE! 🌍

🌍✨ Celebrating International Peace Day! ✨🌍 This year's theme, "Actions for Peace: Our Ambition for the #GlobalGoals," resonates deeply with Nivishe's mission. At Nivishe, we understand that true peace begins within. Our work focuses on fostering *internal personal peace* as a crucial part of mental healing. Whether through art therapy, counseling, or our community programs, we strive to help individuals find peace within themselves. But our efforts don't stop there. We're also dedicated to promoting *external peace* by engaging with communities affected by conflict. For instance, our ongoing work with Sudanese youth, impacted by the war in Sudan, is a testament to our commitment to peacebuilding and mental health advocacy. On this International Peace Day, we reaffirm our dedication to both personal and global peace. Together, let's continue to heal, grow, and work towards a peaceful world. #InternationalPeaceDay #MentalHealth #InternalPeace #GlobalGoals #Nivishe #SudaneseYouth #Peacebuilding

38M👀views.Advocating for PEACE by Connecting the dots | Passionate about driving systemic change for a peaceful regenerative future #Mission2030 We must unite for #Peace 🙏☮️
The primary responsibility for peace and security rests with Governments. However, the private sector can make important contributions through business practices. There has never been a better time to Change the World! Violent conflict and instability disrupt markets and societies. Companies of all forms — small and large, public and private, international and local face challenges to operating in difficult environments. Companies should engage in projects and initiatives to advance peace. Businesses can promote interfaith understanding and peace. Indeed, interfaith understanding – and its contribution to peace – is in the interest of business. Companies can make positive contributions to peace in society by mobilizing advertising campaigns that bring people of various faiths and backgrounds together So why do I read almost nothing about #Peace from the business community? Where is private sector action in support of peace - in the workplace, marketplace and local communities? Let me hear you. let the world hear you that you want PEACE! PeacePlease! #Business4Peace 'Business for Peace' by Tilman Bauer will give you a completely new view on Business as a force for good as force for PEACE!

The book offers a unique perspective on peacebuilding, highlighting the importance of: community-led initiatives; grassroots engagement; innovative, informed, and inclusive approaches, and youth involvement. This success, building an extended peace in this conflict, prove that peace is possible, even in the most complex and prolonged conflicts. This provides a practical evidence for an innovative approach that prevents and resolves violent-bloody conflicts quickly, safely, inexpensively, and effectively. This book, giving a clue to the hurdles of many conflicts in Africa and the world, inspires: extreme sacrifice, determination, hard work, and risk to achieve a lasting peace. This book is a must-read for anyone interested in peacebuilding, conflict resolution, and sustainable development. With violent conflicts affecting over 1.5 billion people worldwide, and peacebuilding efforts declining, this book offers a timely and practical solution to building sustainable peace."

🤝Is your help button switched on? 🤝So you ask us: how can I help? Here is number 2 on our helping list: 2) Create awareness 🤝Remind your friends and contacts that the war in Ukraine is still going on and help them to switch their help button back on too. Incite your business partners to help, both financially and in kind. Helping does not have to cost a fortune. Helping starts by being aware of the needs of others and keeping them on the agenda. That’s one of the reasons why we opened our 👫Community Center “Błonie” 👫in Zamość. Not only to help integrate Ukrainian refugees, but also to be visible in the public landscape. To show the public that Ukrainians do not only take, but also give to the local community. To show that Ukrainians are actively helping their fellow countrymen. To remind people that this war isn’t over.
