As National Public Health Week comes to a close, let's reflect on the incredible strides made in safeguarding our communities and fostering well-being. This year's theme, "Protecting, Connecting, and Thriving: We Are All Public Health," has guided our focus on key areas vital to our collective community health. From fostering civic engagement to addressing the impacts of climate change, each day has been a testament to our commitment to public health. 👥 On Monday, we emphasized the power of Civic Engagement, recognizing that when individuals come together, they can effect positive change in health outcomes for all. 🏡 Tuesday highlighted the importance of Healthy Neighborhoods, where access to healthcare, nutritious food, and safe environments are fundamental to thriving communities. 🌍 Wednesday, we addressed Climate Change, acknowledging its significant impact on public health and the urgency of collective action. 🛠️ Thursday showcased New Tools and Innovations, demonstrating how technology and creative solutions are revolutionizing public health interventions. 🍎 Today we focus on Reproductive and Sexual Health, promoting comprehensive care and education for individuals of all backgrounds. 🚨 Saturday will underscore Emergency Preparedness, reminding us of the importance of readiness and resilience in the face of unforeseen challenges. And as we look to the Future of Public Health on Sunday, we envision a world where equity, accessibility, and innovation are at the forefront of our efforts. Let's extend our deepest gratitude to the dedicated public health professionals who work tirelessly to ensure the well-being of our communities. If we must achieve #UniversalHealthCoverage and make it easier for all people to lead healthier lives, then working together to achieve quality #consumer-powered healthcare must be the focus. We must rethink partnerships to  close gaps, recover momentum, and continue to make progress toward health for all. The Population Services International and Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation partnership to launch the HealthX Partners is one strategic direction to shape the future of healthcare delivery to those who need it most. Together, let's accelerate progress.

Innovative #partnerships may be the silver lining of declining global #aid. The recent launch of HealthX Partners by Population Services International and the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation is an interesting illustration of how organizations can streamline operations and improve #efficiency while maintaining #reach and #impact in the crowded #health sector.

We want all mothers and infants to experience the best healthcare and health outcomes, especially those in at-risk populations. So as part of our ongoing commitment to advancing health equity across the country, Humana funded 3 Kentucky-based community organizations that are dedicated to improving outcomes for Black and African American moms and babies in Louisville, KY. Community health workers (CHWs) serve as a vital link between researchers and communities. Because CHWs usually reside in the communities they serve, they have the unique ability to bring health information where it is needed most. They reach community residents where they live, eat, play, work, and worship. CHWs are frontline agents of change and support CEAL’s mission of reducing health disparities in underserved communities. This National Public Health Week, join us in recognizing CHWs for their role in advancing public health. The New York healthcare system serves one of the world’s most racially and ethnically diverse populations. At Healthfirst, our close to 2 million members represent 16+ ethnicities and speak more than 76 languages and dialects.
