Ostrava has launched an architectural competition for the New Bazaly ⚽football stadium. Interested architects’ studios can apply to enter the competition by 📅 24 January 2025.   ℹ Ostrava has announced an architectural competition to design the city’s planned new football stadium known as ⚽New Bazaly, which will be located on the site of FC Baník Ostrava’s existing Bazaly complex. The announcement was preceded by months of preparations, starting with a feasibility study to determine the new stadium’s capacity. 👉Information on applying to enter the competition: https://lnkd.in/eeZPJpTp 📅 Timeline: The deadline for applying to enter the competition is 24 January 2025. The winning entry will be selected in November 2025. The designs will be presented in December 2025. 🎯 Our goal? To find a top-quality design that will comply with the latest standards, enabling the stadium to host international matches (including home games of the Czech national team). The stadium will be BREEAM certified, and it will have a strong emphasis on sustainability, energy efficiency and barrier-free access. ⚽ The stadium will seat up to 20 000 👀 spectators, and it will be used not only for football, but also for cultural and community events. The complex will include a club museum, 🍴 restaurant facilities, fan shops and other services.
