If you are looking for ways to grow your network, grow your understanding of the community, and grow your business, I suggest joining the Tampa Bay Chamber. My first exposure to the Chamber was in 2012 when the company I was working for was nominated for Small Business of the Year. Fast forward to 2020 when I joined the Ambassador Committee, and later the Policy Advisory Committee - that is when I started to understand the benefits of not just Chamber membership, but true involvement in the Chamber. Like the old adage says, you get out what you put in - and the Chamber members in this video are telling the same story. #tampabay #business #advocacy

Remarkable Eclipse Moments in a Scaling Mission... I became a Chair with C12 Business Forums in 2011. This year we will launch almost as many Chairs in 2024 as we had in our entirety then. #crazy We recently held a US summit of our Chairs for a biannual training time and the attendance at that was more than what our national MEMBER conferences were for the first 15+ years. The first global conference I helped lead was our 2017 event where we were stoked to get to 600 people in attendance (75% of that in the last 60 days of nail-biting - event world IYKYK). Today we blew past 700 folks already signed up for www.C12Current25.com and planning on over 1,000 more in the weeks ahead. That attendance target is more than the total members we had globally when I stepped in as CEO back in 2016. It's a funny thing when those milestones get eclipsed by new levels and realities, the changes and ripples of scaling required.

Now, you might think I’ve completely lost it… I got my very own action figure 🦸🏻♂️! [Not what you’re thinking, though…] This action figure was actually a thank-you gift. From who, you ask? → Our competitor! Wait, WHAT? 👇🏻 Here’s something I firmly believe: ✅ Your competitors aren’t your enemies! A great example: 🌟 Witty Products GmbH + Marc & Sonja! I met Marc years ago for the first time. Today, while we’re technically competitors, we help each other, collaborate on ideas, and have become friends! Here’s how I see it: ➪ If we work together, we can better understand our customers, create more innovative products, and learn from each other. ❌ OR… you could choose to battle it out. (I don’t recommend that!) That’s also why I’m part of organizations like the EAC l European Association Cooperation - to bring our industry together and grow together!
