On March 10, 2024, I received the standard company system-generated email: "Dear Kerri Thank you for your interest in the position of Product Marketing Manager – Water/Wastewater and Irrigation. After careful consideration, we have decided to pursue other candidates whose profiles more closely meet the requirements of the position...." Today, August 9, 2024, I received the system-generated email from LinkedIn: "Your job alert for marketing manager 5 new jobs in Greater Milwaukee match your preferences. Product Marketing Manager – Water/Wastewater and Irrigation..." The aforementioned job is right there in the list. Twice!!! (two locations) Companies, if you're not going to fill the position, please stop making potential candidates fill out applications (many times multiple screens), update his/her/their resume, and WAIT - just to get notification that no, indeed you're not serious about filling this position. At least that is the message that I and many of my peers are reading from your actions, or inactions, as they were. Is it possible that the other pursued candidates didn’t work out? Sure. For the number of times this happens and the frequency in which the same job is posted months apart, it seems unlikely. BTW, this is only one of several examples I could have used. #jobsearch #candidate #opentowork #recruiting #jobapplication #jobapplicant

🐄💡Every week, a new solution pops up, that can increase the cow’s yield and the farmer’s bottom-line: a sensor, a vaccine, a camera, a feed additive, a robot... the list goes on. Each solution boasts an impressive Return on Investment (ROI)—but how often is this truly calculated? And when it is, how often is it an objective, science-based assessment rather than an optimistic spreadsheet-based guesstimate?🤔What happens if a farmer invests in all these solutions? Will their cows produce 25,000 kg of milk per year😲 —or will the farmer go bankrupt trying📉? The latter, right? At SimHerd A/S, our mission is to improve decision-making. We ask the critical question: What’s the actual ROI of this decision? In an era flooded with solutions and being data-driven, we believe farmers need more than promises—they need objective, actionable tools to make decisions that truly pay off. We’re looking for a motivated sales consultant to join our team and help us bring this vision to life. Do you want to make a real impact in agriculture by improving decisions? Then check out our vacancy! https://lnkd.in/dJbt7nZD
