In June of 1998, during our senior year of high school, my parents went to Puerto Vallarta, leaving me to hold down the fort in Chicago. Around that time, my friend Jerry faced some serious issues at home and needed a place to stay. Without hesitation, I welcomed him in. We spent a few weeks sharing my home, navigating the challenges of teenage life together. Fast forward to Ozzfest that year – a weekend we had all been eagerly anticipating. Jerry had promised to drive me to meet the rest of our friends. I put my faith in him, trusting that he would come through. However, on the weekend of the event, he never showed up, leaving me stranded and deeply disappointed. This not only ruined my plans for the weekend but also damaged our friendship. Trust is a fragile thing, and being let down by someone I considered a close friend was a harsh lesson in the importance of reliability and commitment. This experience taught me a few valuable lessons that have resonated throughout my career: Trust but Verify: While it’s essential to trust your colleagues and partners, having a backup plan is crucial. In business, just like in life, contingencies ensure continuity and success. Resilience in the Face of Disappointment: Being let down by Jerry was a tough pill to swallow, but it reinforced the importance of resilience. In the professional world, setbacks are inevitable. What matters is how we bounce back and learn from them. Support Systems Matter: Offering Jerry a place to stay was my way of supporting a friend in need. In business, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment can make a significant difference in team morale and productivity. Commitment to Follow-Through: Jerry’s failure to follow through on his promise highlighted the importance of reliability. In our professional lives, being dependable and honoring commitments builds trust and strengthens relationships. This story from my past serves as a reminder of the importance of trust, resilience, support, and commitment in both personal and professional contexts. Let’s strive to embody these values in our work, ensuring we build strong, reliable, and supportive teams. #LifeLessons #BusinessValues #TrustAndResilience #CommitmentToExcellence

Today at ProviderTrust, we had our Monthly Celebration. In the spirit of OktoberFest, Paul Ferree taught us a traditional German song and emphasized the word Gemütlichkeit, which means a state of warmth, friendliness, and good cheer. Paul highlighted how this word reflects the importance of creating a sense of belonging and comfort—a feeling that truly resonates with our culture here at ProviderTrust. Paul’s message reminded me of our weekly value: Be The Hustle You Desire. This value emphasizes the importance of embracing a "healthy hustle," where ambition and excellence meet balance and well-being. It’s about working efficiently and prioritizing what matters, but also building systems that allow us to recharge and return with renewed energy. Gemütlichkeit embodies the sense of harmony and collective effort that fuels this value, and it’s something we strive to live every day. Feeling grateful to be part of a team that not only pushes for excellence but also prioritizes well-being and camaraderie.

Update: How quickly things change. Jasper has been evacuated due to fires. My heart goes out to everyone in the community. Grateful Will and his PEI friends are safe but thinking of everyone and their families 💔 Last week, I visited my son Will in Jasper, where he works as a white water rafting instructor. I always thought it was a fun summer gig for a 21-year-old, but experiencing it firsthand, I saw it was so much more. The company he works for has built an incredible environment. The entire staff focused on ensuring the guests felt safe and secure while also creating unforgettable memories. They all told stories, joked, and playfully teased until the busload of newbies felt like old friends. When I asked my son about this chemistry between him and his teammates, he said it all stemmed from the company's commitment to ensuring their staff felt valued and had a great time. The company has an incredible brand reputation, and it’s clear that it all starts from within. While focusing on external marketing messaging and activities is important, what happens inside the company is everything. The internal culture drives the external brand. Is there an opportunity to revisit your brand strategy? Does your internal culture reflect what you want said about you externally? I survived the rafting but walked away with an even greater reminder: To make waves in business, start with a ripple of joy among your team (mom pun). #Leadership #BrandStrategy #CustomerService #Marketing

Written a while ago, this captures how I feel about this day and the people I worked with in another life who strove to do their best to help others. I am proud to be called your coworker and your friend. I will always be devastated by the events of the day and the loss people endured. I cannot begin to comprehend their pain. I am saddened that we have lost our way of treating each other and left behind the compassion and support from 23 years ago. Always remember, never forget, and let's return to being one again. Sorry for the brevity. . 9/11 forever reminds me of how great the people I worked with were. . And the horrific and mindless events brought forth by evil. . . . I was part of a PHENOMENAL group of people for the better part of 11 1/2 years. . The drawback to our jobs was that we shone when disaster struck; that was what we were trained to do. . 9/11 was when we shined the brightest... . We were North Bergen back then, and Carlstadt did take the brunt of incoming declarations (in our area), but a team is a team is a team. . Eleven years after my journey ended at CDRS/SAS, I'm still in touch with many coworkers and associates. It is a bond that will NEVER be broken. . The one thing that still stands out when I was with Comdisco/CDRS was the company motto: "We hire the best, and we make them better..." . I have never seen a truer statement than during my time with the 'disco... . Great energy and good health to all my sisters and brothers...and may we never, ever forget... . I really miss the cheesesteaks and steak quesadillas, though... . #team #comdisco #disasterrecovery #businesscontinuity #teamwork #hotsite #truckandtape (remember that?!?!?!) #teamplayer #thankyou #grateful #colleagues #alwaysrememberneverforget #alwaysremember #neverforget911

Recognition- huge topic! 🥳🥳🥳Let’s face it babies cry for it men die for it… Breeds loyalty, creates a fabulous culture, some competition of course and a certain amount of pride in yourself, and what you’ve managed to achieve if you’re in the spotlight. But also humility. Because no one likes a bragger!! And certainly it’s not a quality anyone would consciously practice, would they?? So whilst I am right here in this post ‘sharing’ my latest win, please understand it for what it is. Yes I’m hugely proud to be only the 4th person ever to achieve this out of over 70,000 partners. I now stand in epic company with others that have built massive businesses. Just seeing it in black and white (& purple of course) validates the hard work & the vision I have for months and years to come. More than that I hold my head high for not listening to the naysayers and the dream stealers who laughed at me 4 years ago! If I can do this - anyone can, I was never going to be in the top 3 but my goodness I’ll take 4th to stand shoulder to shoulder with the elite on this one!! I’ve heard you are the sum of the five people whose company you keep, in this virtual awards room I’ve just been elevated a few notches! Oh did I mention this all started as a part time side gig? That I still put less than full time hours into? But also dropped the main gig….. #winningmindset #personalgrowth #sidegig #parttime

For this #ThrowbackThursday we wanted to look back at our two-year anniversary party back in 2019. The theme? "Turn2 Turns2" 😏 We also want to reflect on something that has never changed since then - being a people-first organization. We’ve always believed that if you take care of your people, everything else will fall into place. Whether it’s our clients, candidates, or our own team, we’re dedicated to ensuring every interaction is built on trust, respect, and genuine care. From the very beginning, our mission has been simple: People come first. ✅ For our clients: We don’t just fill roles—we find the right fit. We know that building a strong team means understanding your vision, culture, and what drives your success. ✅ For our candidates: It’s more than just getting the job. We’re here to support your career journey and help you find opportunities that align with your goals and passions. As we continue to grow, this principle remains our guiding light, and we’re proud to be an organization that truly values its people. Cheers to the past, and here’s to a future filled with meaningful connections! ✨ #PeopleFirstOrganizations #TBT #Turn2Partners #StaffingMadePersonal #ThrowbackThursday #HumanConnection Tom Whitehead Ryan Velez Tyler Pratt Matthew Brooks Chris Tynan Chris Owen David Kolesky Christina Filbert
