Reflecting on my first semester as General Manager As the year ends, it’s the perfect time to reflect on my first six months as General Manager of Witekio alongside Philip Robinson. Transitioning from Director of Sales and Marketing to this broader leadership role has been both challenging and rewarding. If I had to sum it up in one word: juggler. (Fitting, since I juggled as a teenager!) A GM’s role isn’t confined to one lane—it’s about bringing value to employees, customers, and stakeholders while balancing the present, mid-term needs, and long-term goals. This shift has transformed my perspective. In Sales and Marketing, I focused on results—targets, metrics, and outcomes. Now, it’s a 360° approach, grounded in listening to employees, understanding company culture, and aligning decisions with our shared values and customer needs. This is especially true when you have an international organisation, with team members in the US, France, UK and Germany, Much like the embedded systems industry, leadership is a constant evolution. I’m learning to balance problem-solving, process management, company culture and business strategy, all while keeping an eye on the horizon. So, to my fellow Witekians, our customers, and stakeholders —thank you for your trust and collaboration as I brush off my juggling skills. Here’s to building a brighter future together and a very happy holiday season! 🎄✨

✨ Every Journey Starts with a Single Step 👣 On a recent trip, I saw this message on a hotel room wall, and it got me reflecting on my career. Every significant milestone I've reached has begun with a challenging decision. The very first one of those was in the early stage of my career, leaving a secure role in HR to pursue a Master’s degree and pivot into product management. That step set the stage for me to lead impactful projects across industries, from automobiles to espresso machines, and influence diverse markets and regions. I've learned that growth often requires risk and resilience. It demands keeping an open mind and a commitment to learning—traits that continue to shape my path. I’m especially grateful to the incredible team at Perfetti Van Melle for supporting me early in my career and shaping the foundation of the decisions that followed.
