Ready for a quick journey through time two weeks ago 🕰? Looking back at the 67th Technical Conference by the Society of Vacuum Coaters (SVC) in Chicago, we were delighted to be part of such a dynamic and impactful event. With around 800 registrants and 110 exhibitors, the conference provided an unparalleled opportunity to connect with industry professionals. We were impressed by the knowledge shared in the 181 presentations and posters - a testament to our community's thirst for learning and professional development 🤓. A special mention goes to Hagen Bryja for his insightful speech about Tailored Atomic Layer Deposition, which showcased our technological competence and expertise to industry peers 🙏. His contribution was invaluable in representing #FHR on a global stage. We take pride in our partnership with Vital Materials Co., Limited, our parent company, which significantly impacted our success at the event. As we said goodbye to Chicago 👋, we look forward to applying the knowledge and connections gained from the conference to drive further innovation and growth within our company. Here's to the next chapter of collaboration and advancement in the #vacuumcoatingindustry! Until next time in Nashville! 🎬 Enjoy our little recap. #WeAreFHR #TheThinFilmCompany #SVC

EO Laser Optics is where it's at!
EDMUND OPTICS SHOWS US HOW. Our visit to the exhibition floor at this year’s CLEO Conference continues. I notice that leading companies are using video platforms more effectively to show rather than tell what they can do for other Optica corporate members and beyond. Take this example from my encounter with Cory Boone of Edmund Optics. As well as outlining to me what they are doing at their newly expanded facility in Oldsmar, Florida, we discussed what academics are asking the industry for – remember, they are some of the most critical customers you can have. Cory is a master communicator. Check out dozens of helpful video explainers he has made on the Edmund Optics TikTok channel. I’m very impressed. Our industry needs more storytellers like Cory. And it would be great if LinkedIn would finally recognise Photonics as a standalone industry.

Robust design, simulation and data science...Unfold the full potential of your engineering resources!
Resolvent at: "Nordic Regional Battery Visit April 9-10th 2024 in Mariestad/Skövde" I just returned after two exciting days at The Nordic Regional Battery Visit in Mariestad/Skövde. Thank you for all the exciting presentations and conversations. Resolvent was present with a stand, posters and quick pitch on how to gain a competitive advantage! Resolvent's main technical point at this conference is that we can offer multi physical simulation models of battery systems. By including the different degradation mechanisms deep technical understanding is gained. This is key to optimization of the design, production processes and operating conditions. Optimal performance (e.g. lifetime) and limited resource usage result in a competitive advantage.
