VPEG6 RECEIVES 'SUPERIOR' INVESTMENT RATING & CONFIRMS FIRST CLOSE DATE OF 17 JULY 2024 Vantage Asset Management Pty Limited is pleased to announce that the Vantage Private Equity Growth 6 (VPEG6) Fund has been awarded a ‘Superior’ 4 star rating by independent investment research firm SQM Research. By designating VPEG6 as ‘High Investment Grade’, SQM’s rating classifies VPEG6 as ‘Suitable for inclusion on most APL’s’. In their report, SQM Research highlights the Fund’s diversification benefits, access to Institutional grade Private Equity funds that are typically unavailable to individual investors and a highly experienced investment team with expertise in managing private equity fund of funds. The VPEG6 ‘Superior’ rating follows on from the February 2023 ‘Superior’ rating achieved by VPEG5 which completed its Final Close in December 2023 and is now fully committed across eight private equity funds and four co-investments. Following receipt of the VPEG6 rating, Vantage confirmed that the First Close date of VPEG6 will be 17 July 2024 which will see Vantage commence to make commitments to private equity funds managed by top quartile performing lower to mid-market private equity managers in Australia and New Zealand. Applications to invest in VPEG6 received prior to 17 July 2024 will be included within the First Close, with only 5% of Committed Capital required to be paid at the time of the application. Applications received after 17 July 2024 will be allotted monthly until the Final Close target of $250m is achieved. VPEG6 builds on our 20-year track record of global top quartile private equity returns, following Vantage’s proven investment strategy of investing in eight to 10 top quartile performing private equity funds in Australia and New Zealand in the lower to mid-market segment. Vantage funds have invested in 31 underlying funds which, in turn, have invested in 169 companies of which 88 have been sold. Those 88 exits to date have generated a 2.9x multiple equating to an average gross IRR of 49.7%. Azimut realizes its first exit in its GP Staking business The Azimut Group, through its subsidiary Azimut Alternative Capital Partners, and Petershill at Goldman Sachs Asset Management entered into binding agreements to buy Azimut’s entire stake in Kennedy Lewis Investment Management LLC for an all-cash total consideration of $ 225 million. Azimut’s initial investment in Kennedy Lewis Investment Management was $ 60 million completed in 2020. Kennedy Lewis Investment Management is a leading credit alternative asset manager founded in 2017 by David Kennedy Chene and Darren Lewis Richman. This significant special transaction demonstrates the quality of our international partnerships in Private Markets, as highlighted by Pietro Giuliani, Chairman of Azimut Group, who comments: “This transaction means creating value for our shareholders and confirms the validity of our path aimed at expanding internationally and growing in Private Markets, representing a unique opportunity for our clients in terms of product range and, above all, results” also adding that the Group has “approximately 35 operating companies (within the 130 subsidiaries and 19 affiliates ex-Italy) with assets and clients whose value is not currently reflected in the Azimut stock price.” Read the press release for more details: https://lnkd.in/dGBv76Mv
