🏌️♀️ Shining a Spotlight on Equality in Golf Clubs: Insights from Katie Dawkins' Latest Article in Golf Monthly 🌟 I'm thrilled to share the fantastic article recently written by the wonderful Katie Dawkins for Golf Monthly. In her piece, Katie delves into the crucial topic of whether equality at golf clubs still has a long way to go. It seems that there are plenty of examples that still agrees that we do have a long way to go. Many of the incredible women from the Ladies Golf Lounge contributed to this article, shedding light on the realities and challenges we face within the golfing community. Despite strides made in recent years, it's clear that there's still much work to be done. One particularly poignant aspect Katie explores is the necessity of having more women in senior positions within golf clubs. She highlights Jo Tandy, General Manager of Sene Valley Golf Club in Kent, who spearheaded efforts to foster a culture of equality and inclusivity within her club. Through her leadership, Sene Valley Golf Club has not only changed its script but has also stamped out misogyny, resulting in a club that thrives on equality. I couldn't agree more with Katie's sentiments. As a true believer in the power of diversity and inclusion, I firmly believe that having more women around the decision-making table is paramount to driving positive change within golf clubs. After all, how can a board full of men truly understand and address the needs and desires of women in the golfing community? By empowering women to take on leadership roles and actively participate in the decision-making process, we can pave the way for a more equitable and welcoming environment for all golfers. Not only will this help attract more working women and girls to the game, but it will also enrich the golfing experience for everyone involved. Thank you Katie, great article!
