Here is another example of our Tensilica Vision DSP being used for the latest GenAI (generative AI) applications. In this demostration, a contrastive language-image pretraining (CLIP) AI model provides live and real-time confidence level to text prompts depicting the environment seen by the camera. The Vision DSP is heavily leveraged in this demonstration and provides a mechanism to offload NN layers that are NOT supported by the customer's NPU (Neural Network Processing Unit). This allows for AI model to run end-to-end on the customer's platform. Additionally, the Vision P6 DSP is a highly efficient, configurable and extensible processor targeted at edge AI and embedded applications. This demonstration is done in partnership with Labforge Inc., a leading provider of smart cameras. Labforge's Bottlenose camera utilizes the Vision DSP integrated on a Toshiba SoC.
