6 months ago, I embarked on a mission to make a lasting impact in the lives of special needs families. With a clear vision but uncertain path, I dove in headfirst, determined to create change where it mattered most. I was fueled by a passion to serve, yet faced with the challenge of navigating a niche landscape. But where there's a will, there's a way. I began by immersing myself in the community, listening intently to their needs, challenges, and dreams. It was a humbling experience, shedding light on the gaps that needed filling and the barriers that needed breaking. Armed with empathy and insight, I set out to build bridges where there were once gaps. From advocating for policy changes to providing hands-on support, every action was a step towards a brighter future for special needs families. But it wasn't a solo journey. Along the way, I found allies in unexpected places - fellow advocates, compassionate professionals, and kindred spirits united in a common cause. And then, the breakthrough came. Through strategic partnerships and unwavering dedication, we began to see tangible results. From improved access to resources to greater community inclusion, the impact was undeniable. Now, as I reflect on the past 6 months, I'm filled with gratitude for the journey and optimism for the road ahead. While the path may have been challenging, the rewards have been immeasurable. To anyone dreaming of making a difference, I say this: seize the opportunity, embrace the challenge, and let your passion be your guide. With determination and compassion, anything is possible. Here's to achieving lasting impact, one step at a time. PS: Dont forget to register yourself in unlocking the path to a successful transition for your child webinar on May 15 2024. https://bit.ly/3Uws0Oj

I believe in the importance of allowing young children to explore, try, test, and get out there to experience new things. This is the essence of what is possible when you coach your children. Parents as coaches, as well as educators, have the power to transform a child's world. When both parents and teachers embrace the role of a coach, they unlock a child's potential and foster a love of learning and discovery. Have you embraced coaching in your approach to parenting or teaching? #coaching #graydin #ukeducators #educators
#LetGrow is leading the movement for childhood independence. One way we do this is through our #IndependenceChallenge. We know kids are capable of some amazing things. The sky is the limit when adults step back and let them do and try things independently! In this annual contest, we want to see short videos of kids in action and all the great things they learn and tackle independently. Participate Today 👉 https://ow.ly/7JYj50SOOzT #ChildIndependence

Take a Minute Monday: Transformation in Progress As we near the end of our Summer 2024 BeH2O Co-Parenting cohort, my heart is overflowing with gratitude and joy. This week marks one of the most powerful moments in the program: family meetings where parents share their co-parenting commitments with their children. Seven families are graduating, and while their journeys have been far from perfect, the transformations have been nothing short of breathtaking. These parents have leaned into discomfort, embraced growth, and shifted perspectives—showing their children that failure isn’t the end, but a step forward. Watching them share their new family narratives—some in unison, some through heartfelt letters or even songs—has been a profound reminder of the resilience and beauty within every family. The laughs, the tears, the smiles—they tell the real story. These parents are not just telling their children about growth; they are living it. They are teaching their children that even in the face of challenges, we can create something meaningful and strong together. I’m beyond blessed to witness these moments. Growth and transformation aren’t always comfortable, but they are always worth it. Here’s to the courage of these families, to rewriting narratives, and to the lasting impact of choosing transformation over stagnation. Let’s take a minute today to reflect on the ways we can lean into growth—even when it’s hard—and teach the next generation to do the same. #Transformation #GrowthMindset #BeH2O #FailingForward #SafeguardingChildhoods

As we step into this new year, I find myself reflecting on the growing disparity in how children perceive the world around them. Among kids from upper-middle-class backgrounds and beyond, I notice a concerning insulation from the realities of the world. Their focus often seems confined to personal goals, with a belief that good grades and a strong education will secure their future. But where is the hunger? The fire to change the world? The awareness of the challenges that exist beyond their comfortable bubbles? I am personally facing this with my own son. In contrast, when I interact with children from middle-class and lower-middle-class backgrounds, I see something profoundly different. They live the realities of the world every day, not just read about them. They are acutely aware of problems on the ground and their aspirations are not just for themselves but often for the communities they come from. This stark difference makes me wonder: are we unintentionally creating a generation that values comfort over courage? Are we sheltering children so much that they grow up disconnected from the world they are meant to shape? So, as educators, parents, and mentors, how can we bridge this gap? How can we ensure that privilege doesn’t lead to passivity, but rather to purpose? This year we've made this as one of our goals at Kidspreneurship to reduce the disparity. Let’s make this the year we inspire our children to look beyond themselves and dream not just of their success but of their impact.

Since 2021, our team has set aside time to choose our "word" to focus on for the year. Amy Measner leads a beautiful session where we reflect on things we accomplished in the previous year, and what we want to focus on in the upcoming year. Here are some of the words that a few of our team members wanted to live by in 2025. We are exactly one month into the new year and we put the challenge out to you to choose a word that you want to integrate into the rest of your year. #selfimprovement #bettereveryday
