EigenLayer's mainnet is now live, introducing the first-ever implementation of restaking on Ethereum. This launch enables ETH stakers to secure additional protocols with their staked assets, opening up new avenues for earning rewards. You can now delegate your restaked ETH to specific operators on EigenLayer mainnet. Figment is live as a mainnet operator and has been participating in the EigenLayer ecosystem since early in its testnet. Ethereum’s next network upgrade is expected to increase the maximum ETH from which a validator can earn staking rewards (known as MaxEB) from 32 ETH to 2,048 ETH. The change — arguably the biggest since the Shapella upgrade — is being made as Ethereum's validator count nears 1 million nodes and is designed to encourage consolidation among large-scale staking operators. ITN Update 😀 ITN officially started "counting" on Monday, after the initial set-up period, and we are thrilled with how well it's going. There are already ~3000 nodes, which is significantly more than many established blockchains. So many people have joined us that we decided to double the rewards pools! We have also been able to make important upgrades to the network, with 4 patches already in place plus work on the explorer. We decided to extend ITN by a week, so it now finishes on 21st March and there will be more things that participants can do to test the network. There's still time to join us, either as an individual or as a company. This post has all the links and instructions you need to get tDUSK and set up your first node. We are incredibly happy with how well the network has been performing, as well as the great interest and enthusiasm from the crypto community. BLAST L2 UNVEILS ‘BLAST FOUNDATION’ AS TXNS OVERTAKE ETHEREUM - The Paradigm-backed Ethereum layer-2, Blast_L2, today announced the ‘Blast Foundation’ - seemingly the not-for-profit tasked with advancing the project as it enters its next stage of growth. - Though little is yet known about the Foundation, we do know that it will take control of the L2’s social media accounts (prev. run by Arcade Research), website, and governance. - The news comes just two days before the official launch of the $BLAST token itself on June 26th - a date which promises to provide more details about the foundation itself. - June 26th will further see the project announced the 'Blast Vision', which the Foundation will work to manifest - This is likely a roadmap or some equivalent. - After just months of availability, Blast has accrued an incredible $1.785 billion in total-value-locked (TVL), per DefiLlama - a figure that reached as high as $2.3 billion in June. - What’s more, and as highlighted by founder PacmanBlur, Blast even surpassed Ethereum by way of daily transactions on June 20th, clocking an impressive 1,155,534 txns. What is restaking? In the context of Rio Network, restaking is using the Eth or LST staked into Rio network, and the staked tokens are restaked towards Eigenlayer's Actively Validated Service. I do believe EigenLayer is creating more opportunity for protocols to be built. https://lnkd.in/geR9hd9B
