As a filmmaker, being part of cultural experiences and creating a story to introduce this experience to a bigger audience is by far one of the most rewarding aspects of my career. For those familiar with Nyepi, you'll know how special it is to witness this first hand. For those of you not yet familiar with the Balinese New Year celebrations that involve Ogoh-Ogoh statues & a 24-hour Silent day (Nyepi), here is a short glimpse in what it's like:

Hello everyone, is anyone interested in Indonesian films currently showing? One of them is "Siksa Kubur", a film that sparks debate and is currently trending. Nonetheless, we should take pride in the rapid progress of Indonesian cinema.👏 👏 For those who haven't seen it yet, here's some information about the film.

A Marketing Case Study in a nutshell! Wai Wai SEASONED MASALA NOODLES is a classic case where BEI Confluence played a truly Marketing Consultants role in conceiving the brand. The agency team through it's several market visits and consumer interactions with formal Quali research in early 2023, found a need gap in the consumers' psyche. The younger generation teens (13-18) of noodle consumers were getting bored with the BLAND TASTE of the 30 year old ' yellow pack' brand leader in instant noodle with a m.s of 50%+ and were graduating slowly towards spicier versions of Instant Noodles like Chings and Korean noodles that were flooding the Indian market post Covid. But students and young adults could hardly afford these premium brands as these were over 100% more expensive. The indian culture, habits and pallette are more tilted towards the spicier and more Masaledar tastes and we love the hot masala flavours. But the TG had hardly any pocket friendly alternative. Thus the need gap of a spicy noodle AT THE PRICE LEVEL of the staple bland "yellow pack noodle" was identified and the agency planning team conceptualized this Wai Wai Masala variant and named it as "Seasoned Masala Noodles". The C G Foods R&D team created the variant and thus a new brand with a distinct identity was born and launched recently nationally aimed at those who are bored with the bland taste of the brand leader which they have been consuming since childhood and were looking for a change with a Masaledar variant in Instant Noodles. We at #beiconfluence are very proud to have contributed almost 100% towards the inception of a brand idea arising out of a need gap, name it, create the packaging and finally see it in its fruition stage by launching it and creating it's communication. Another fascinating aspect that deserves cinematic exploration is the tradition of giving a surname (marga) to non-Batak Toba individuals who marry into Batak Toba families. In Batak Toba culture, surnames are deeply rooted in ancestry and community. When a non-Batak marries a Batak person, they often receive a Batak surname to signify their inclusion in the family’s clan. This process, while an honour, can also present cultural challenges, especially in mixed marriages. Imagine the rich storytelling potential of portraying a non-Batak individual navigating the complexities of their new identity within the Batak community.
