What I dont understand is even why Canada has to import steel and aluminium from overseas. Canada doesnt have coal and iron of good quality to make steel? Its not possible to buy Australian or Brazilian Bauxite and produce Aluminium here, having cheaper electricity compared to many other countries? Honestly dont understand why semi-processed goods which dont require some complex technology are imported from abroad, being this China or other parts in the World. Canada should import only what it doesnt know how to make, such as planes or cars or computers. Things like clothes, steel, aluminium, etc..., should be totally forbidden to import, and inside of the country there should be aggressive expansive credit policy, and also training available for everyone who has appropiate education (if needed), so they can open easily the business in this sector and have guidance. And we will have plenty of jobs in Canada, and also huge competition inside because of easy entry to the business.

A trade war with China. This is the Brilliant Plan of the dishonorable Freeload and Collapse Canada - errr FinCan - (so easy to confuse)? A 100% surcharge on Chinese EVs (aka better, cheaper cars) while most of our manufactured goods (and most traditional car maker parts) originate in China? Clearly inflation wasn't a consideration, just as local manufacturing HAS NEVER been a consideration of this government. Union workers have never had it so hard in Canada - not since the last Great Depression. This government has eliminated pensions across the country (except in Quebec).
