Ed', Expertsources: Where Journalists find People with Expertise for interviews, articles & comment on news & features.
We’re back and into the new year, incredible how ‘far’ away a new year feels when in fact it’s just a day away from the old one, doesn’t it? Let’s try to make this a better world to live in by continuing to be kind, giving and patient to others throughout the year, not just over the December holiday / Christmas season. It is the unseen things that matter much more – like kindness, generosity, helpfulness, patience. And when you think about these qualities, they really are signs of love. And be kind to yourself too, and your business by nurturing them and trying your best for them. We might be able to help. We thought you could benefit by gaining valuable potential media publicity to further enhance your reputation and revenue. So if you'd like to click on www.expertsources.co.uk - 'where journalists find people with expertise', we'll be in touch once you connect. ExpertSources is an online platform, also home to over 7,700 media members constantly searching – and mostly finding – experts in their field, so you could easily be one of them! Oh yes, the fees have recently been drastically reduced and there was also an extra 30% special offered up until the end of December – sorry! But there are often specials offered, just click on https://lnkd.in/gwR-Jqq to check. #Publicity #Media #MediaProfessionals #Journalist #Journalists #MediaExposure #Revenue #PR #PublicRelations #Expert #Experts #Charity #University #Business #Journalism #Editorial #Podcast #Vlog #Blog #Articles #Magazine #Magazines #TV #Radio #SocialMedia #ROI #Business #StartUp #Entrepreneur #Success #BusinessSuccess #MakeMoney #YourDream #Goal #Ambition #Reputation #Journalism Photo by Stephen Andrews on Unsplash

It's time for another Make A Scene w/Video... the Podcast! In this week's episode, Roxanne Sutton discusses nonprofit communications and how storytelling is key. We talk about the benefits of including professional videography at an event like their 1T.org Summit - including communicating cooperation visually and providing VIPs with content. Roxanne shares the importance of thinking strategically to maximize a nonprofit’s resources regarding video: when to use a professional videographer (when not to) and the benefits of repurposing content. We're also chatting about AI's impact on video trends and DIY vs. pro production. We can’t forget about the juicy bits like what questions nonprofits should be asking their videographers. Key Takeaways: 💪 Working with a communications strategist can help nonprofits develop a clear and effective strategy to reach their target audience. 📖 Storytelling is a powerful tool in nonprofit communications, as it helps to create an emotional connection and make complex issues more relatable. 💲 When planning a video project, it's important to think about how the footage can be repurposed and used in different ways to maximize its impact. 📈 Clearly define the goals and purpose of your videos to ensure longevity and effectiveness. 📹 Strategically plan your video production to cover multiple topics and create multiple videos in one day. 💡 Explore the use of AI in video production to streamline processes and create short, engaging content. 📲 Stay up-to-date with trends in nonprofit communications, such as optimizing for vertical content and creating content on the fly. 📣 Communicate your needs and expectations regarding production days and post-production, including the number of rounds of notes and the deliverables. 📨 Utilize various distribution channels for high-quality content, including social media, events, and partnerships. 🤲 Ask videographers about their approach to production, their sensitivity to interviewees, and their ability to handle the technical aspects of video production. #productioncompany #nonprofits #videoproduction #ytvideos #podcast #podcasting #videopodcast https://lnkd.in/essgBWSX

If I told you that up to 85% of your overall messaging may be undermining your goals for engaging key decisionmakers, you might be alarmed, or you might be skeptical. But many nonprofits are in this situation and don’t realize it. The good news is, there are some simple things you can do to identify and rework any counterproductive messaging, and ensure that all of your messaging and communications are supporting your effort to engage decisionmakers and get them to take action on your behalf. We break it all down for you in this week's episode...

Marketing Strategist for Nonprofits - we create branding and messaging that inspires others to join your cause!
Scott Allen CreatiVLOG - Episode 5 Every nonprofit marketing and development team I’ve met has felt the pressure of achieving big goals with limited resources. You may be limited in either time, talent or budget. It can be helpful to define three tiers: Tier 1: What we absolutely must do in our donor engagement and marketing to keep our mission in the hearts of our valued relationships Tier 2: What we can do to strengthen relationships and expand our brand awareness and attract new people to our mission Tier 3: New marketing initiatives that reach new audiences and support each department in their growth goals You may be in a season where you can only achieve tier one, or you may have had an amazing year end and your leadership has increased your budget so you can go after all three tiers. Wherever you’re at, please be kind to yourself and do what you can with what you have. It can be emotionally freeing when you create a marketing plan based on the reality of your resources. And always take comfort in knowing that powerful stories that express the heart of your mission and make a genuine human connection will win the day over pushing out a bunch of content. And if you make your own vlogs, don’t be like us, please remember to turn your office phones off! https://lnkd.in/gdZiadi4

It's time to fill in the blanks between "digital audience" and "sustainable revenue." In my latest column for Current: News for Public Media, smart people tell us how public media organizations can raise money from digital, on-demand audiences. Some takeaways: 1. Michal Heiplik shows how Passport is bringing in 44 percent of new donors for public TV stations. (The NPR Network may help radio to catch up.) 2. Joyce MacDonald says major givers can be inspired by engaging a broad and diverse audience, and talks about the success of their coaching program, VeritUs. 3. Kristen Muller explains why LAist will keep moving ahead with its digital-audience focus.
Time is running out to solve public media's digital revenue puzzle - Current
