DID YOU KNOW? Under IAS 10, if events occur after the reporting period that provide evidence of conditions that existed at the balance sheet date (known as "adjusting events"), the financial statements must be adjusted to reflect this new information. Examples include the settlement of a court case that confirms a liability that existed at the balance sheet date or the discovery of fraud or errors. This ensures that the financial statements present an accurate and fair view of the company's financial position as of the reporting date. #IAS10 #ACCOUNTING #FINANCIALREPORTING
