When I graduated, I had no idea what public affairs firms did. It seemed like the only political career options were going to the hill or a think tank. Navigating life in that first year out of college can be difficult - everyone wants experience, but an internship might be all you have. That's why we created the fellowship: to give young professionals an intro to public affairs, letting them see if that field and THG are the right, long-term fit. If you or someone you know is looking for that next step, DM me, and we can talk next steps.
The Herald Group’s fellowship program has paved the way for success for a handful of your favorite THG team members from Associate to Director. Check out who started as a fellow, what they have to say about the program, and what it offers for future leaders in our industry. https://lnkd.in/eJgV9bsP

Building bridges and forming social connections that allow information and resources to travel between groups that might not ordinarily connect.
On behalf of our entire team at Mentor Connect, I wanted to express our gratitude to Bobby Hulme-Lippert for speaking on our behalf at the Leadership Conference, City of Austin on June 21st, 2024. Your presentation, “Bring Your Dance Moves: How Leaders Cultivate Belonging,” was profoundly impactful. Your explanation of how everyone has unique and important gifts to offer, and how these gifts are best shared when we feel a sense of belonging, resonated deeply with us. We were particularly inspired by your explanation on how leaders can cultivate belonging: 1. Use Improv Comedy’s “Yes, and” as a Leadership Approach – Building from the input, perspective, and strengths of others. 2. Share Stories – Providing outlets for team members to appreciate each other’s stories, even short conversational prompts can quickly build a deeper connection. 3. Practice Gratitude – Offering team members specific, personalized expressions of gratitude and recognition for their work. These approaches are especially beneficial for high school students as we navigate formative years, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment that enhances our personal and academic growth. Mentor Connect is truly grateful for your partnership. Naithruv Kashyap, Chief Operations Officer, Mentor Connect Arjun Rajan, Adam Menezes, Shaurya Pathania

As 2023 passed by, and I sit down to celebrate the success of my team, I gleam with joy on how well the team has done! The secret of success was that, the team focused on building our teammates, creating cohesiveness and celebrate diversity. We built our team by challenging its members individually and as a team. At first, we give them projects that they shine at and celebrate their success. Then move them to projects that would really 'challenge' them. My favorite paradigm in this is "the more you do, the better you get!" Creating cohesiveness is probably the most undermined paradigm in the world of competition. Remember, soccer team members do not compete with each other, they compete with the other team as ONE! Building cohesiveness has been the bedrock of success of our station, DTO1, and this transcends departments, support teams and senior regional leadership. Every member of your team is different! As we went through the year, we turned the org around, moving people and exposing them to different paths. However, as we prepared for the peak holiday shopping season, we placed each member back to their strongest position! The station had its best performance EVER in December! Understanding our team members, leveraging their diverse skill set and setting them up for success feeds the first two paradigms of building your team and creating cohesiveness. In this playing field of operations, I could not have asked for better teammates. So thank you Katie K, Varun Thakur, CCLP, Prashant Mathew, Peter Trinh, Tajdeep Singh, Ami patel, Murtaza Attari, Ashish Pandya, CHRP, Prosci®, STMP, CAPM, Parth, Kiran, Meet and Prabhjot Singh to name a few.

How do you celebrate your wins? 6 years ago, I started a tradition that has continued to pay unexpected dividends. Whenever I work on one of those big, ugly, "special" projects, the team gets pens as a simple, practical gift. Change the World Project Project Golden Spike Project Galileo ...and more Does it fully compensate them for the stress, late nights, and extra effort? Absolutely not. It does do two things: 1. Gives each person something practical, that they can use every day 2. Provides a physical reminder of the lessons learned (and that we survived) Every time I pull one of these pens out of my backpack, I'm reminded of the learnings and the people who were with me through the process. It also serves as a reminder to remain in contact with those with me in the trenches. This is where the unexpected returns come in. How do you celebrate your wins and remain in contact with those who supported you? (Not sponsored, I just wanted to share because there are two more pens on the way for the next special project...)

[Paragon Corporate Gathering Day 2] On the second day of the 2024 Paragon Corporate Gathering, the bond among Paragonians was reinforced as they reflected on the parapreneur journey that has been ongoing since Paragon's inception nearly 39 years ago. The identity of being a Parapreneur or Paragon Intrapreneur is fundamental among the seven basic identities that unite Paragonians in their collective pursuit of shared dreams within Paragon. Various activities such as the Parapreneur Quest & Consensus were organized to deepen the Parapreneur spirit. These initiatives aim to empower Paragonians to return to their respective teams across different domains, fostering personal growth and fortifying the Parapreneur ethos. #BeyondBusiness #paragoncorp
