Today I didn't leave the house to do any physical activities, but there was still an online meeting. This online meeting is an IAP2 Indonesia event initiated by my IAP2 colleague, Uni Lala Dietra Anandani SE., MM., CNLP.,CHPt, namely the DTM (Delivery To Mentor) class. In a class attended by 5 participants, the zoom meeting is a simulation class for implementing public participation in handling cases involving multiple parties, where each party has different roles, interests, and influence. In this class I had the opportunity to try out a simulation using a tool called Quizizz. In this tool, each participant is asked to answer several questions related to public participation knowledge that displays the foundation of participation to handle the given case. In addition, I also learned a new jargon, SDG, which does not stand for Sustainable Development Goals, but Session Design Guide, related to this DTM class training. I also had the opportunity to get to know a new participant, Bagus Putu Fabio and interact with colleagues I already knew, namely Uni Lala, Teh Wiwin Winarni Pamungkas and Syafir Akramia Syafirati - all from IAP2 Indonesia. #IAP2Indonesia #PublicParticipation #DeliveryToMentor #SessionDesignGuide #Quizizz #ZoomMeeting

I am thrilled to announce that I have been selected as one of the awardees for the Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards (IISMA) 2024 by the Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (Ministry of Education and Culture Republic of Indonesia) to study at Palacký University Olomouc. This achievement marks not only a significant milestone but also a profound journey of growth and discovery. As a third-year law student at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), applying for IISMA has been an exhilarating experience, full of opportunities for self development. The selection process for IISMA has been truly transformative. Here are some key takeaways from this journey: 1. Take your preparation seriously Approach every opportunity with dedication and thoroughness. This means investing time and effort in preparing yourself academically and personally, ensuring you’re well-equipped to make the most of the opportunity. 2. Learn from your mistakes and explore alternative solutions Mistakes are valuable learning experiences. Analyze what went wrong, understand the lessons, and seek creative solutions to avoid repeating the same errors. This proactive approach helps in continuous improvement and problem-solving. 3. Build a supportive network Surround yourself with mentors, peers, and advisors who can offer guidance, feedback, and encouragement. A strong support network is crucial for navigating challenges and achieving your goals. 4. Stay adaptable and open-minded Be willing to adjust your plans and perspectives based on new information. Flexibility and an open mind can lead to unexpected opportunities and growth. 5. Face failure with strength and look for new opportunities to rise again When you encounter obstacles or failures, face them with strength and use them as opportunities to reassess and refocus. Each setback can be a stepping stone to a new opportunity if approached with the right mindset. Thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way. Here’s to new beginnings and continued growth! Special thanks to those who have helped me throughout this process. I’m also excited to share that I’ve been participating in the IISMA AC mentoring program, guided by Kak Dimas Apriyandi. #ToInclusivityAndBeyond #IISMA2024 #StudyAbroad #PersonalBranding

"Your surroundings shape who you become." This motto passed down from my parents to me who put in their utmost effort to ensure that I have access to quality education, healthcare, nutritious food, and a safe living environment. In order to express my gratitude, I put my best abilities to maximize my potential in learning and socializing with my peers. Under these circumstances, I will give my all to learn and grow while being Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards (IISMA) awardee at University of Malaya. Enrolling in IISMA by any means is not an easy journey, I personally discovered the IISMA program sometime before the enrollment period ends. This means I have little to no time to prepare essays, documents, while also exercising for the English test. At first, I was skeptical about registering since this was my first experience joining a scholarship. But, with the support of my parents, teachers, and friends, I am able to muster my confidence to submit my scholarship application. In such a short amount of time, I learned many valuable things to achieve a scholarship. Here are the things I wish I knew about applying scholarships: 1. Do your research. 2. Prepare relevant documents. 3. Seek Guidance and Support. 4. Prepare yourself mentally. As an IISMA awardee, I aim to make positive change, sustainable innovation, and contribute to the development of my community and nation. I aim to realize this by sharing the knowledge Obtained throughout my experience in Malaysia. #ToInclusivityAndBeyond #IISMA2024 #StudyAbroad #PersonalBranding Honorable mention to my ACE mentor: Favian Ravi Fadillah

Undergraduate Computer Science Student at University of Gadjah Mada || IISMA Awardee 2024 to Universidad Autonoma de Madrid
[ The Courage to try is the first step] I decided earlier this year, in February, that I would enroll in Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards (IISMA). The preparation and application process present numerous challenges. Unexpectedly, I had to run 1.2 km in 3 minutes on a rainy morning for my IELTS test, arriving just seconds before the test started. Also, I devoted myself to work on my essay writing, completely drowning in the process of drafting and rewriting, which I believed to be crucial for successful selection. I convinced myself that sweat and hard work always pay off, and we can prevent regrets by trying. In this opportunity, I am eager to share the knowledge and insights I have acquired during my application to IISMA: 1. Confidence: Initially, I had zero confidence in applying for the program after seeing the portfolios of the previous awardees. However, my parents reminded me that confidence is the first step. If I do not apply, I will never know. 2. Resilience: Throughout the selection process, I learned to be resilient. Challenges give us the option of giving up or continuing. 3. Maintaining a positive mindset: Throughout the selection process, I often doubt my ability to pass, but ultimately, we should focus on doing our best and allowing God to take care of the rest. This reassures us that there is no point in having negative thoughts about ourselves and the future. 4. Self-Appreciation: The lengthy selection process taught me to appreciate myself for every process and challenge, for the pain and gain I went through. Thus, I would like to express my gratitude to my family and friends for their unwavering support during the selection process, cheering me up during the downs, motivating me to do my best, and facilitating me. Finally, I am also grateful to Kemendikbud for this golden opportunity, and I cannot wait to begin my journey as an IISMA awardee at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. I would also like to thank Kak Jonathan Bayu Satwika for the valuable insights and departure tips that I gained during the mentoring session on personal branding.

I first heard about the Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards program on my 1st year of university, and it immediately came to my interest. Immersing myself in a culture different to my own while obtaining new perspectives, knowledge, and broadening my network just seems so intriguing. My strong will to join the program pushed me to give maximum efforts throughout the application process. The prime location, interesting courses, and plethoras of student union associations in UCL pulled me in. However, I was initially hesitant to apply because last year's statistics show that only students with very high IELTS scores were accepted. I was sceptical, but decided to shoot my shot and try my best anyways. I only had a short amount of time to focus on my IELTS preparation because my university needed the results by early January, while I had just finished my finals in late December. Determination to achieve great results led me to dedicate my time to study intensively, practicing on question sets and learning materials from various sources, and even sacrificing New Year’s Eve to sharpen my skills. When I received my results, I felt grateful and relieved, and felt that my hard work finally paid off, but I still had a long way to go. Writing my IISMA essay helped me reflect on my past hurdles, achievements, and ultimately made me more aware of myself and my goals. It was more than just an application essay. Through this essay-writing process, I learned to trust my ideas and abilities. Special thanks to Rafael Benaya Sarmanella for guiding me through the whole IISMA process, especially during the essay-writing segment. The moment I opened my IISMA acceptance letter was nerve-wracking yet relieving. I’m glad that I have my all during the application process. Reflecting back on my journey, I definitely learned a lot. Overall, my IISMA journey taught me to take risks, to aim for my furthest targets even though it might seem impossible, and to trust myself. Moreover, I would like to deliver huge gratitude to my family and friends for the endless support. Big thank you to Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan (Ministry of Education and Culture Republic of Indonesia) for the opportunity, and also my mentor Raysa Allana S. for guiding me during the pre-departure process. #ToInclusivityAndBeyond #IISMA2024 #StudyAbroad #PersonalBranding

Environmental Enhancement at Sinarmas Land | Fresh Graduate of Environmental Infrastructure Engineering ITB
[Scholarship Mentoring by LPDP Awardee] 💫 Just wrapped up an inspiring mentoring session with one of the LPDP 2023 Awardee Kak Aninda A H. as her mentee at the Indonesian National Mentoring Festival (IMF) 2024 by Dealls – Jobs & Mentoring (YC W22). Engaging in meaningful dialogue, I gained invaluable insights and guidance that have significantly enhanced my progress toward my study abroad goal. I'd like to share few things I learned throughout the mentoring session: ⭐ Discover your life purpose using the "Ikigai" method to solidify your motivation for advancing to the next stage of your academic journey ⭐ Align your vision with your experiences to demonstrate practical knowledge, particularly in your desired field of study. ⭐ Identify the gap between your current self and your envisioned future, expressing the reasons driving your motivation ⭐ Last but not least, each step contributes to the larger goal, emphasizing the importance of perseverance and patience Most importantly, I have the opportunity to connect with my mentor on a personal level, which I believe is immensely valuable for my professional journey. I highly recommend joining this program so that we can grow together, let's fly higher, register with one click away ➡️ dealls.com/imf
