The digital "Sacred Service" launches today! https://lnkd.in/gN5z7Nyr This innovative online experience brings 11 artifacts of WWI chaplains directly to your screen, offering an intimate look at faith on the battlefield. With the interactive 3D models we've incorporated into the exhibition you can examine rare WWI chaplain artifacts up close -- from anywhere in the world. Rotate, zoom, and explore items like a chaplain's field Communion set or a trench crucifix in great detail. The exhibition "Sacred Service" goes beyond the typical war narrative, diving into the spiritual, mental, and emotional support chaplains provided to service members facing unimaginable challenges. In the physical space, National WWI Museum and Memorial has created a deeply moving experience that highlights the human -- and spiritual -- side of the Great War. This digital encounter provides a snippet (11 from the exhibit total of 200+ objects) of that physical exhibition. This content, unlike the physical exhibition, is free, accessible 24/7, and will live on long past the current physical exhibition's run. It doesn't take long to explore the items and view the exhibition; it was intentionally designed to be viewable and not exhaustive. It also doesn't take much time or many objects to get the story across -- the courage, faith, and humanity in times of conflict that these men provided is palpable through the artifacts that remain, even on screen.

The importance of the display in an exhibition! The exhibition ‘Hello World. Revision of a Collection’ was on display at the Hamburger Bahnhof - Museum für Gegenwart in Berlin from 28 April to 26 August 2018. ‘Hello World. Revision of a Collection’ is a critical examination of the National Gallery's collection and its predominantly Western orientation: what would it look like today if a more cosmopolitan understanding had characterised its concept of art and its creation? How would an expansion and multiplication of perspectives affect the canon and art historical narratives? Based on these questions, the exhibition unfolds in thirteen thematic chapters as a polyphonic collaboration between internal and external curators across the entire exhibition space of the Hamburger Bahnhof - Museum für Gegenwart - Berlin.’ A canon for situational narratives was developed by the raumlaborberlin   Widening the view and placing it in relation to international cultural and artistic production - also in retrospect - gives us the opportunity to see the artworks in a new light. On the other hand, the frames of reference allow us to uncover visible references and gain new perspectives. The demolition of the former U-boat Story Museum building at Woodside Ferry Approach will mark the first step towards Big Heritage CIC's creation of a brand-new Battle of the Atlantic visitor attraction on the site, set to open in Spring 2026. Birkenhead-based Technical Demolition Services has been appointed to oversee the works which will include the removal of the 1970s link-span tunnel at Woodside Ferry, which is being replaced as part of major new reinvestment at the site. It promises 'advanced interactive exhibitions alongside previously unseen documents and artifacts' and will provide visitors with a unique new perspective on the Atlantic Campaign. you can read more here https://lnkd.in/eNkMN6XY
