I can never unsee the running man made by the splatter of the paint. The form is so strongly recognizable in my eyes that i cannot perceive it differently. This is a recurrent dilemma for me. To cite this as Abstract #2 would leave the observer to consider it without any pretense or preconceived notion. Once is it named, as you say above, it becomes very hard to ‘unsee’. The copperplate gold shape was introduced to the left and evolved quickly. The lithe figure drags the colors from left to right. This is the only photo that worked. Similar to action photography the next image has the front leg clipped off the screen and the image prior has a underdeveloped legs. Enjoy a short clip to explain how the photograph series “A Heart Appears in the Mist of Glass” came to life. This took several hours to get the angles and lighting right.
