We are excited to share a video about how we helped the City of Golden Valley, MN with its council chamber technology upgrades over the last few years. It's a great example of why partnering with a technology consulting and design firm as part of any new-build, renovation, or upgrade project is the best way to maximize a project budget and produce the most effective and easy-to-use results. We want to thank the City of Golden Valley for their partnership and congratulate them on investing in technology that improves staff communications and community engagement. #govtech #digitalgovernment

🌐 Bridging the Gap: The Power of Structural Holes in Community Networks 🌐 Structural holes refer to the gaps between non-redundant contacts in a network. Imagine different clusters within a network that don't directly connect with each other. The spaces between these clusters are the structural holes. The individuals or organizations that bridge these gaps are positioned to facilitate the flow of information and resources across the network, fostering innovation and collaboration. 🌉 By identifying and bridging structural holes within community networks, organizations can position themselves as essential connectors and brokers of information and resources. This strategic positioning allows for: Enhanced Innovation: Bridging structural holes encourages the cross-pollination of ideas and best practices across diverse groups, sparking innovation and creative solutions to community challenges. 💡 Improved Efficiency: By facilitating direct connections where previously there were gaps, organizations can streamline communication and collaboration, reducing redundancy and enhancing efficiency. 🚀 Greater Impact: Strategic networks that leverage structural holes can mobilize resources more effectively, align efforts across sectors, and amplify their collective impact on community health and well-being. 💥 By leveraging tools like PARTNER CPRM, we empower organizations to visualize their networks, identify structural holes, and strategically connect the dots, turning potential barriers into bridges for collaboration. #NetworkScience #CommunityPartnerships #StructuralHoles #StrategicNetworking #VisibleNetworkLabs

I recently had the privilege of sitting down with John Holden, Raleigh's first Smart City Manager, at Raleigh Founded - North Street for an in-depth discussion on how we can strengthen downtown Raleigh and the surrounding ecosystem. With a quarter-century of community economic development experience and a pivotal role in launching the Virginia Smart Community Testbed, John is a powerhouse of knowledge and expertise, ready to take Raleigh's smart city initiatives to new heights. We explored the visionary initiatives outlined in the Connected Triangle+ vision and charter. It lays the foundation for establishing a Government Innovation Ecosystem that prioritizes interoperability and open standards, fostering collaboration among government agencies, technology startups, research institutions, and industry partners. The Connected Triangle+ Partners have set ambitious objectives, including: 1. Accelerating digital transformation 2. Promoting collaboration 3. Advancing interoperability 4. Enhancing service delivery 5. Achieving efficiency and cost savings By focusing on data security, public engagement, digital equity, and cultivating a culture of ongoing innovation, this initiative aims to revolutionize public services and drive regional growth. John and I delved into the comprehensive approach proposed by the Connected Triangle+ Partners, which encompasses incubator programs, open innovation challenges, interoperability frameworks, and resource sharing. These strategies are designed to transform government services and position Raleigh at the forefront of smart city innovation. As we continue our discussions and collaborate with stakeholders across the region, I am confident that John's leadership and the vision of the Connected Triangle+ Partners will usher in a new era of government innovation. #RaleighSmartCity #ConnectedTriangle #GovernmentInnovation #RegionalCollaboration
