It's alarming to see individuals in the Social sector misappropriating donated funds for personal indulgences, oblivious to the struggles of fundraising. They don't know how hard it is to raise money. Fundraiser work very hard to collect every rupee to help those in need. They don't do it to make you rich, but to help those who need it most. Don't break the trust of donors who give money and those who need help (Affected population). Use the funds for intended purpose – to create a better world, not to indulge in personal comforts. #SocialSectorEthics #QualityAndAccountability #CoreHumanitarianStandards (CHS) #HumanitarianExcellence #HumanitarianStandardsAndGuidelines #AccountableHumanitarianAction #DonorTrustAndTransparency

Why dogs are good for social housing. When walking the dogs I met a couple walking theirs. We got talking and then I said I need to go as I was handing a house over to social housing. ‘What do you mean?’ said Tom & Sue. I explained we work with individuals who loan our company money at a fixed rate, we buy and renovate houses and hand them over to social housing for vulnerable tenants. ‘We love it!' they said. ‘Can we get involved?’ ‘We donate to shelter every month but this way ALL our money helps the people we want to help and we still keep the capital! And we get paid interest too! When can we start?' Tom & Sue have now invested with us four times in the last 3 years, helped us buy 4 houses for vulnerable tenants & earned over £10,000 in interest! Better than spending £240 per year on donations where only about £60 actually goes to help the people they wanted to help. Are you like Tom & Sue? Put HELP in the comments below if you want to get involved. #property #ukproperty #propertyinvestment #investment #portfoliobuilding #socialhousing #passiveincome

Have you visited Bridge House in the Lake District? 😍 The minute bridge was built in Ambleside in the late 17th to early 18th century and was initially designed as an apple store. It was built over the river Stock Beck to avoid land tax. The building's use has changed numerous times over the years. It has been a counting house, tea room, cobbler's, shop, and home to a large family. Recognising the importance of the building, a group of local residents bought the house in the 1920s and donated it to the National Trust, which looks after it today.

"After raising $8 million to outbid a corporate investor, residents of a Cedar Falls Mobile Home Park, based in Bangor, Maine, unanimously voted to purchase their park on Saturday. MaineHousing donated $1.1 million to the residents’ effort, while the city of Bangor donated $500,000. 'It’s wonderful. The whole thing’s been very stressful, but it’s come together, and I’m so impressed,” said Ronnie Pinkham, president of the resident cooperative that owns the park. “I’m impressed with my community.'" CDI is honored to have been able to support the Cedar Falls community as they've navigated the new Maine law and the purchase process. Including Cedar Falls, CDI has helped residents of 62 manufactured home parks across the Northeast raise more than $308 million in capital to purchase their communities and preserved more than 6,180 units of affordable housing. CDI will continue providing support to the Cedar Falls community, helping residents run their community together as a cooperative.
