Celebrating Visibility - Molson's Logo Shift in PWHL Hockey In the world of sports, visibility matters. It's not just about the players on the field or the ice; it's about the fans who look up to them, finding inspiration in their stories, their triumphs, and their resilience. That's why Molson's recent logo shift in PWHL (Provincial Women's Hockey League) hockey is not just a change in branding; it's a statement of inclusivity and recognition of the talent and dedication of female athletes. For too long, female athletes have faced challenges in gaining the same level of recognition and support as their male counterparts. Whether it's the wage gap, lack of media coverage, or stereotypes that undermine their abilities, women in sports have had to fight twice as hard for half the recognition. One subtle but significant barrier has been the visibility of their names, often obscured by hair in action shots or overshadowed by sponsors' logos. Molson, the sponsor of PWHL hockey, has taken a proactive step towards addressing this issue by shifting its logo placement. Instead of being positioned in a way that obscures the names of female players, Molson's logo now allows for the clear visibility of players' names, ensuring that their identities are front and center. This seemingly small adjustment speaks volumes about Molson's commitment to supporting women in sports and their acknowledgment of the importance of representation. Visibility matters not only for the players themselves but also for the countless young girls who dream of one day stepping onto the ice or the field as professional athletes. When they see female athletes being celebrated and their names proudly displayed, it sends a powerful message: that their dreams are valid, and there's a place for them in the world of sports. Molson's logo shift in PWHL hockey is more than just a marketing strategy; it's a reflection of changing attitudes toward women in sports. It's a recognition of the skill, determination, and passion that female athletes bring to the game. And most importantly, it's a step towards a future where gender equality in sports isn't just an aspiration but a reality. As we celebrate this milestone, let's remember that there's still work to be done. Supporting women in sports is just not about logos and sponsorships; it's about challenging stereotypes, advocating for equal opportunities, and amplifying the voices of female athletes. By continuing to champion inclusivity and representation, we can create a world where every athlete, regardless of gender, has the opportunity to shine.

How would you feel if your boss hired pickpockets to teach you to be more aware? According to the Athletic, Mikel did this at a recent team dinner. At the end of the night, he asked players to empty their pockets. And many were already empty. Awareness is the key to excellence in any walk of life. Premier league players are aware of nearly the double the data of their championship counterparts when they receive the ball. It’s definitely a great thing to work on. However, I would add two caveats: It has to be context specific. Learning to be more aware in the dining room might not translate to the pitch. You have to do the work on the pitch. And secondly, an equally important aspect for elite players is learning to relax. This can be tough for players. They are often in a focussed state and encouraging them to do this in all areas might be a mistake. Learning the difference between focussed alertness and relaxation is key. One things for certain. Mikel will leave no stone unturned in his drive to win. #arsenal #premierleague #performance #football

The evolution of the aggregate league valuation in the Premier League 🏴. 💰 With a total of 415 Premier League players valued in 2018, at an average player value of €19.7 million, the Premier League had an aggregate league valuation of €8,168 million. 📈 Fast forward to May 2024, and the Premier League’s valuation has reached €11,332 million with an all-time high average player value of €24.5 million across the 462 players that were valued. However, the highest aggregate league valuation was recorded in December 2023 at €11,750 million, mainly due to a lager amount of players valued (527). All in all a positive evolution for English football ⭐️. #premierleague #football #footballfinance

Strategic Advisor | Translating Culture into Business Growth for Founders, Creatives, and Brands | Helping Leaders Build Scalable, Impactful Companies
Before I share my ideas on what brands should be doing a deal with Caitlin. FEMALE AHTLETES ARE UNDERPAID, AND SHE IS THE LATEST EXAMPLE. PERIOD. This is a no-brainer. She is a star among stars. Here are some ideas. 1. Clothing. Designer. It's likely Prada who dressed her last night. 2. Financial Institution. She would do well in a Capital One commercial dunking on Samuel L Jackson. 3. Supplements and performance. Does Ritual partner with her and come out with a performance drink? 4. What is the wild card partnership? The Major CPG Companies have the top male athletes. I want to see a new CPG brand, poppi, move into sports. This would not alienate their core consumer. It should expand their fan base, her fan base, and the WNBA. True story: My wife is now into Caitlin Clark after SNL and learning what she has done and will do for the WNBA. 5. A big philanthropy play. It's already in her DNA. A significant institution should be matching her dollar for dollar. If they aren't already. She used her first NIL deal to raise money for her local food pantry. She is just one player, and there are so many tier 1 athletes and women's sports that will add exponential value to your brand. Get to work!!! PS Kyle Fitzpatrick is always delivering the heat. PaperBoy!
Caitlin Clark was just selected #1 overall in the WNBA draft by the Indiana Fever. The details of her rookie contract are...something Here's how the numbers break down: 2024: $76,535 2025: $78,066 2026: $85,873 2027: $97,582 Brands of LinkedIn, it's time to go to work. Here come an avalanche of paid partnerships... #paycaitlinclark #basketball #sportsbusiness #caitlinclark h/t Spotrac for the graphic
