It is my opinion that these platforms' ability to solve the human inability to properly measure and/ or allocate living areas, basements, partial basements, etc., is a real game changer. This has plagued the real estate industry for long enough. We gave the humans responsible for property listings a chance(decades), and they could not agree or determine how to provide clear, consistent, and credible information. We now have technology that can solve this. Also, as I shared, there are a number of players in this space, so with reasonable oversight, we have an opportunity for a healthy market with competition and continued advancements. If you are a decision-maker in this space, please ensure you observe the opportunities these technologies can provide in a competitive marketplace. There will also be pressure for exclusivity agreements, but resist or limit that temptation and foster a healthy opportunity for competition.
