Zero weeks without deals! Here's your list of key events for August 12-18. Spoiler: it was a lucky week for Lithuanian and Indian fintechs! NORTH AMERICA Setpoint, an infrastructure provider for asset-backed lending, has secured a $31m Series B funding round led by venture capital firm 645 Ventures. Fortuna Bank (in organization), an Ohio-based woman-owned bank, is preparing to open its doors after securing $20.7m in funding and receiving conditional approval from the FDIC. Congrats! PayZen, a healthcare-focused fintech, has secured $32m in equity and a new $200m credit warehouse in an oversubscribed Series B round led by New Enterprise Associates (NEA). Cardea Capital Corporate Holdings, a wealth and asset manager, has secured a $15m convertible note financing round. LATAM Parfin, a Web3 infrastructure provider, has landed a $10m Series A round, led by ParaFi Capital. EUROPE eany.io, a B2B marketplace connecting buyers and sellers across industries, raised €2m in seed funding from Market One Capital and Practica Capital. Sling Money, an app that uses blockchain tech to make instant money transfers in different currencies, raised $15m in Series A funding from Union Square Ventures, Ribbit Capital, and Slow Ventures. Conduit, a B2B cross-border payments platform, has extended its seed round with a $6m investment from Helios Digital Ventures, the VC arm of Helios Investment Partners. Finora Bank, a Lithuania-based financial institution focused on micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), has raised €5.6m. Okredo, a Lithuanian fintech specializing in open data solutions, has bagged €1.2m from the EU. REST OF THE WORLD Vayana , an Indian trade finance platform, has bagged $20.5m as part of its ongoing Series D funding round spearheaded by SMBC Asia Rising Fund. Skydo, India's cross-border payments platform, has secured $5m in a pre-Series A round led by existing investor Elevation Capital. Syfe, a Singapore-based digital savings and investment platform, has closed a $27m Series C funding round from existing shareholders Valar Ventures LLC and Unbound alongside new investment from two unnamed UK family offices. Yuze, a UAE-based digital platform that offers financial services to freelancers and SMEs, has secured $30m from Osten Invest. Stay tuned!

⚡️Revolut: Doubling Revenue and Heading Towards an IPO! Axevil Capital portfolio company —  Revolut — recently published its financial results for 2023. Here are the key highlights: 1️⃣ The startup's revenue grew by 95% year-over-year, reaching $2.2 billion. This exceeded even the company's optimistic forecasts from a year ago. 2️⃣ The user base grew by 12 million over the year, reaching 38 million people. Impressively, 70% of new customers joined organically or through friend recommendations. 3️⃣ Record net profit: $428 million. This success is due to the fintech super app strategy — Revolut meets all financial needs of its clients, something competitors can't boast about. 4️⃣ UK banking license — coming soon. Revolut has removed all obstacles on its way to obtaining the license it has been pursuing since 2021. This will open new opportunities for expanding services and increasing revenue. 5️⃣ Clear hints at a future IPO. The startup has stated that it has strengthened its financial controls to meet public company requirements. We also recently reported that Revolut is preparing a major deal for the sale of employee shares, valuing the startup at over $40 billion. This is 20% higher than the previous round in pre-crisis 2021! ⚡️Everything points to Revolut, the fintech rocket, being ready for a new takeoff. Europe's most valuable startup has successfully navigated the market crisis and is preparing for an IPO. We eagerly await the listing!

Altruist (SaaS Fintech) hasn’t had to take a down or flat round during a fintech dealmaking freeze: In early 2023, it closed its $112 million Series D at a $962 million valuation led by Insight Partners and Adams Street Partners.
