Very pleased to report unanimous support today from the Cambridge Joint Development Control Committee for the proposed new Cambridge Cancer Research Hospital on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus. The new hospital is in Cohort 2 of the New Hospital Programme and represents a key part of the Government's national Life Sciences Strategy and Vision. The Cambridge Cancer Research Hospital will bring together NHS treatment expertise and University of Cambridge research experitise, working with neighbouring stakeholders on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus, to deliver a quantum leap forward with regard to the diagnosis and treatment of cancer locally, nationally and internationally. It is has been one of our favourite projects over the last couple of years and a priviledge to work on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus again, this time with the Cambridge University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, as part of their exceptional design team for the project.
