Food on or close to it's sell by or use by date needs to be discounted by 90% to stop food waste, only then if it is not sold should it be eligible to go biogas energy and digestate fertiliser. If it is edible, not significantly discounted and goes straight into biogas and digestate then it is food wasted. Companies that take this option need to be sanctioned.
Have you ever wondered what one of Marks and Spencer's' dumpsters might look like after closing? I wonder where the discounts are? No interest in selling this food & drink to British consumers? I recently visited the UK & I was truly gobsmacked by food prices. Is it not...
...shocking to see retailers continuing to dump out the un-discounted daily Food "Waste" via the back to produce government-subsidised "bio-eco-gas energy" & "digestate fertiliser"?
This work comes from a campaigner called M. Proudman, who is dumpster diving regularly near where they live. I hope to share more of their critical work in the weeks to come to give folks an idea of what's happening out there.
