Here's a snapshot from a recent application of Clore Wildfire Defense on a property with several critical fire hazards: 🔹 Dry Grass 🔹 Dense Vegetation: The area is surrounded by dense trees & shrubs, which gives fuel for wildfires. 🔹 Proximity to Structures: Vegetation close to wooden structures like decks can easily spread fire to buildings. 🔹 Steep Slope: Fires travel quickly uphill. We're applying Clore Wildfire Defense to create a protective barrier, reducing the risk of fire spreading across these vulnerable areas. Are you familiar with Fire Danger Ratings? Fire Danger Ratings (FDR) is a forest or vegetation fire monitoring system that provides information to support fire management. Importantly, it estimates the likelihood of a fire to ignite and spread and whether it requires suppression action. By knowing the daily FDR, forest protection teams in RER can inform communities, fishermen and other forest users that vegetative conditions are such that there is a risk of fire. They also use this data to increase patrols and have their firefighting equipment ready for use.
