It depends on factors like industry, product, target demographics, and more. I believe AI can revolutionize how we conduct incrementality tests, running them continuously without the need for costly agencies. By integrating a comprehensive warehouse that collects marketing data, organic social data, and transactional data, AI can run real-time, refined tests, providing deeper insights into customer behavior. The traditional purchase funnel is no longer as effective due to evolving consumer behaviors. For instance, before making a $150 purchase recently, I didn’t just check the product and website; I explored the brand’s social media, follower engagement, Reddit reviews, and more. I might have done a little extra, but this is the what the brands must be prepared for. As we move forward, relying on simple attribution models could be detrimental.
