Wanting to improve your safety culture and performance? Did you know that across thousands of businesses the average safety culture maturity is locked in at tier 3 on the safety culture maturity roadmap? In other words the majority of businesses are only really performing ok or slightly less than ok! Should we be concerned? Hell yes! Safety compliance only gets you so far. For a quantum leap in reducing workplace harm businesses need to focus on embedding safety culture into their DNA. We have clients who have increased their safety culture by 5% and reduced harm by 29%, by 30% and 34%, and 3% and 26% … all focused on improving safety culture and reducing harm in their business and in some cases their supply chains. The question is how? The answer is by understanding what and where their underlying safety culture gaps are and targeting time, money and energy on what and why, then tracking, monitoring and measuring leading and lagging. All very simple when you know how. For those serious about truly understanding what needs to be done to improve safety culture then a great weekend read from the Safe365 Insights Report. I promise you won’t be disappointed… click on the link below and have a read. How do we move beyond a compliance-based culture of safety? True safety culture goes beyond compliance and requires a commitment to continual improvement, a goal many safety leaders are striving for. Despite all efforts to date, the data from our 2024 Safety Culture Maturity Report 2024 shows that while there are strong maturity levels in compliance-based practices, there is a consistent weakness in areas that would support more proactive, prevention-led cultures of safety. To dig deeper into which areas are stronger than others, and where we still have room for improvement, read our first annual insights report here 👉 https://lnkd.in/e3mqmxcy

One of the most insightful aspects of this graph is that less than 2% of the safety culture elements in the Safe365 framework that measures safety culture demonstrates excellence!!! It shows that we still have some way to go to improve our safety culture performance. There are few organisations who score high on all safety culture elements. We know when we meet these exemplar organizations, who excel in the majority of our safety culture elements, their executives and management oooooze safety culture from top down. One in particular, a major construction business, scoring in the 90s on our safety culture index, meaning they are scoring extremely high on all safety culture elements, hasn’t had harm in the workplace for over 4 years! Let me repeat that … 4 years! One of the hallmarks of this particular business is the total engagement and commitment of their executive and their understanding of what great safety culture looks like and how to execute it in the business … they take it extremely seriously… understand their legal requirements, moral, ethical and commercial… duty of extreme care in effect. By comparison, one of the major systemic failures in businesses is the lack of understanding at C Suite level of what great safety culture looks like! This happens to be one of the worst scoring safety culture elements in the Safe365 data sets. See the link? High performing safety culture businesses, with great harm records, have executives who truly get safety culture and understand the link to safety harm and performance… the challenge is one of the poorest performing of the 85 safety culture elements in the Safe365 Insights Report is executive understanding of what great safety culture actually is! Again see the link? The question is … what can we do about that? Interested in your thoughts. Want to find out more have a read of our insights report… click on the link below. Safebatch is One (1) HURRAY Today marks a remarkable milestone for us at Safebach, as we joyously celebrate one year of unwavering commitment to Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) excellence. What started as a vision between friends has blossomed into a thriving venture dedicated to ensuring the well-being of individuals and the sustainability of businesses. The story of Safebach began when we began to discuss how most QHSE companies focus on large organizations. We asked the simple question how do we get QHSE to small and medium businesses and individuals? This passion for creating a positive impact recognized the critical need for comprehensive QHSE solutions. Fueled by our shared values and a commitment to making workplaces safer and more sustainable, we embarked on a journey to turn our vision into reality. Then came SAFEBACH. At first, it was challenging to implement but in the past twelve months, Safebach has emerged as a beacon of reliability in the QHSE landscape creating a unique approach to QHSE. The company's dedication to quality has set new standards, with innovative solutions. We have pioneered topics such as event safety and school safety. Our journey has been marked by continuous learning, adaptation to trends, a unique approach, and a tireless pursuit of excellence. Safebach's success is not just measured in terms of business growth but in the positive impact, it has had on organizations and individuals who have trusted us. Through a unique approach, we are becoming a trusted partner for people looking to enhance their QHSE practices. As we reflect on the accomplishments of the past year, We also express our appreciation to our clients and partners who have entrusted us with their QHSE needs. In the past year Created QHSE awareness to countless people across social media spaces and physically. Trained over 200 individuals free of charge Offered paid training to over 50 persons. Offered cleaning services and HSE consultancy to 2 businesses. Helped 5 businesses integrate QHSE into their business In the final stages of assisting 2 businesses in achieving management system certification. WON'T YOU LOVE TO DO BUSINESS WITH US? Looking ahead, Safebach remains committed to pushing the boundaries of QHSE innovation, especially in the African context. With the foundation laid in the first year, we are poised for even greater strides in the years to come. If you want to build a culture of safety in your organization, these 3 elements should be non-negotiables. At ARC, we wrap up all of these elements into one important phrase that our entire team stands behind: Safety is 24-7. Repeating this phrase with regularity, on a weekly or even daily basis, has helped solidify safety as a core value that is ingrained in our culture. We believe this is critical because a safety culture... 🟠 Reduces risks 🟠 Improves efficiency and on-time performance 🟠 Enhances worker attraction and retention 🟠 Controls costs If you haven't begun to adopt specific processes to build a culture of safety in your organization, there's never been a better time. #safetyculture #safetyis247
