Growing in leaps and bounds My observation in procurement and Supply Chain Management 1. Highly qualified does not translate to Highly Competent 2. Thick skin is a pre-requisite in procurement 3. Procurement Compliance must take priority at all time 4. Your most critical "purchase" is ultimately your people 5. Over communicate to avoid misinterpretation 6. Procurement job is the best in the world 7. Procurement principles are same across all industries 8. Be hard on the issues but soft on the people I could not help when I came across this. Not purely my work but acknowledgement of accurate observation

Strategic Sourcing Manager & Consultant | Orchestrating Procurement Strategies for Cost Efficiency, Supplier Excellence, and Optimal Outcomes
Let's talk procurement strategy and my experience working with a global tech giant. The common mistake companies make is thinking of procurement as a cost-saving function only. Procurement is so much more than that. By partnering procurement with other functions, the value they can bring to the table is immense. Think about it: - Procurement + Marketing = Savings on advertising spend - Procurement + Logistics = Enhanced control on inbound and outbound logistics - Procurement + IT = Better technology pricing A successful procurement team is one that is commercially savvy, understands the risk, and knows how to maximize the value that their organization can gain. They can source the best suppliers, ensure continuity of supply, reduce risks, and promote innovation. It's time we acknowledged the crucial role that procurement plays in driving business growth. What are your thoughts?

Can we be happy working in Procurement? What I like about working in Procurement, is that you can actually leave your stamp on the organization. You can have a real impact. After over 20 years of being in the procurement industry, I still go to work every day with a smile on my face eager to make fun & achieve results. Procurement is a great field for people who love critical thinking, numbers, and putting things in order, but also for those who love the more human side of work: interaction, communication, and creativity. The job affords that you’re not just using one side of the brain. That’s why I think I will always love procurement.

Supply Chain Manager | Procurement | Logistics | Delivery | Efficiency and Cost Optimization Projects | Facilities |
Procurement and Logistics: Attitude and Commitment In my experience, maintaining a great attitude is fundamental for success and operational efficiency in procurement and logistics. Professionals in this sector face challenges such as inventory management, supplier negotiations, tight schedules, demanding customers, and shipment coordination. A positive attitude not only aids in problem-solving but also fosters a collaborative and motivating work environment. Under constant pressure, a good attitude enhances communication and cooperation, resulting in a smoother and more efficient supply chain. Commitment is another essential factor in procurement and logistics. Committed employees go beyond their basic responsibilities to meet the company’s objectives. This commitment is evident in their dedication to continuous improvement, adoption of new technologies, and pursuit of innovative solutions to optimize processes. Additionally, a high level of commitment fosters loyalty among customers and suppliers, creating long-term relationships that benefit all parties involved. I have been fortunate to lead highly committed teams with an excellent attitud, and I believe these are key factors for success in the dynamic and demanding world of procurement and logistics. While we are in the AI age, we must never forget that our team members are our most important asset.
