According to authors Heather Exner-Pirot, Darrell Beaulieu, and Paul Gruner, there are at least three priorities that must be in the Northwest Territories' mining agenda: Streamline permitting and regulation: This must include capacity support so Indigenous nations can do their own due diligence and provide timely and informed feedback on proposed projects; Support investment in energy and transportation infrastructure: prioritising financing for Indigenous development corporations needs to be a priority; Maximize Indigenous mining input: The workforce and supply chain that have been built up over the past two decades are a good base on which to build. "Yellowknife and Ottawa have been approaching the industry’s imminent demise with at best benign neglect," warn the authors. A Unilateral, ideological decision by the PM on Jabiluka; now the subject of legal action 2. Mass outcry about the potential re-unionisation of the Pilbara (and other minesites). 3. Broad concern over the "Nature Positive" changes to the EPBC Act; so much backlash that Labor have been forced to make some changes and trickle feed them in. 4. Tanya Plibersek's cancellation of the Regis Resources gold project in NSW. No wonder the mining Industry is turning its back on Australia for new investment. Make no mistake - all Australians standards of living will be negatively affected by this.

Discover the Rich History and Bright Future of the Philadelphia Property! Arizona Gold & Silver INC. Originally discovered in the 1890s, the Philadelphia Property has a storied past and a promising future. Mined through the early 1930s, this site produced approximately 40,000 ounces of gold from about 80,000 tons of ore, with a cut-off grade of $8.00/ton (0.4 opt Au). Ore was historically trucked to the Katherine Mill, located around 8 miles away. In 1934, the construction of a state highway halted further mining activities. Despite limited exploration drilling above the highway by Meridian Gold in the 1980s, the full potential of the property remained untapped. However, the realignment of the highway in the late 1990s paved the way for renewed interest and development. Arizona Silver took a significant step forward in 2019 by acquiring a lease/purchase agreement on the surrounding unpatented claims, initiating drilling at the north end of the property. In 2021, we secured a lease on the patented claims, leading to a breakthrough with the Perry claim drilling. The summer of 2021 marked the discovery of a high-grade vein and a substantial lower-grade stock work zone. Further success followed in 2023 with the Rising Fawn claim, containing the highest-grade gold intercept to date. 🔍 Where do you find gold? Look for an old mine that was never fully explored! We are proud to announce that we have identified 1.6 km of continuous strike mineralization. Currently, we possess the largest low-sulfidation gold system in Arizona, with only 75 acres explored out of our expansive 2400 acres of claims. Canada has announced plans to increase scrutiny of offtake agreements between Canadian mining companies and Chinese entities. This decision was disclosed by a Canadian minister at the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) conference. The move is aimed at ensuring these deals do not compromise Canada's economic and national security interests. Offtake agreements are common in the mining sector, where buyers agree to purchase future production from mines, often securing financing for the mining company in return. The increased scrutiny of offtake agreements with Chinese companies introduces new risk dimensions for mining companies. Executives and risk management professionals will need to assess how these regulatory changes could impact project viability, financing options, and market access.
