At the height of the sand theft hoohah of selangor.. Hey homer what do you think of all the sand theft activity? SNiggling all round the table. They confiscate the lorries into police station holding yard, next day the lorry disappeared. Me. What? You think only the police/law got long arms only is it? Rip-roaring laughter arose. Me. And who do you think is pocketing Wang buta from the sand thieving? Homer. Is there a way of bringing down the helicopter without shooting it and people getting hurt? (from the other side of the fence) Me. Yes, you really want to do it? No lah just asking. Yum yum yum cha, beckoning me to drink the teh tarik, ngeteh. Me. Eh enforcement confiscate your excavators how. No problem. Tomorrow we bring replacement excavator. 🤣 How fast can you turn around a lorry? 5 mins.😱 WHAT if enforcement comes? We are long gone by the time they get here 🤣 How you know they coming here. We have spotter outside their office. When enforcement come out our spotters tail them to see which way they going so we know which site they are going for. Everyone is alerted at site, operations shut down. We are long gone by the time enforcement get to whichever site. 🤣🤣🤣 I won't touch on the nitty gritties of how payments are based and the mechanics involved. Suffice to say it was an interesting assignment that spilled over to subsidised diesel for fishermen and why we have periodic shortages of seafood 🤣🙄

People don't start in fraud prevention for the money. My starting salary as a fraud analyst was $37,000/year. What attracted me to the role was: 1) I could see the purpose 2) I knew the problem would never go away The second one is important because we all want to do purposeful work, but we also want to develop skills and knowledge that leads to professional growth. The result: A career you care about and can be financially successful in if you put in the work. It doesn't need to be an either / or. #FraudFighter #WinWin

*GOOD JOB ALERT: FINANCIAL CRIMES UNIT ($44+/HR DOE)* How do superheroes make money? We get that question a lot. Most caped crusaders work a 9-5 under the cloak of day. Still others get paid to promote things like soda. And chips. Then there are those that rely on rewards for their good deeds. But BEWARE! There's a fine line between a reward and a grab - making jobs like today's hot hire absolutely critical. Those of you with a talent for sniffing out ratatouilles and embargoing embezzlers will enjoy this opportunity to join Adams County Crimes Unit as a Lead Investigator where you'll save the world from fraudsters of finance and make an honest buck at the same time. If this sounds like it fits squarely in your bat cave, rev up your engines and apply over here: https://lnkd.in/gtV6PrN4 #goodjob #superheroeswanted #crimefighters #lawjobs #investigator #financialcrime #beabat #speednotgreed

This is what happens when you don’t secure your vacant site with property guardians. ⚠ Last bank holiday weekend, riot police had to evict squatters from an illegal rave. Squatters often take advantage of long weekends when people are away and police are busy with events. Despite being monitored by another security company, the squatters got in. Meanwhile, Ambika-protected property next door stayed untouched. With 35 years in the business and an unbroken track record, we guarantee your vacant site stays secure. Trust Ambika for true peace of mind. #PropertySecurity #PropertyDevelopment #PropertyNews #Property #PropertyDeveloper #PropertyManager #PropertyManagement #PropertyOwner #LandBuyer #RealEstate #PropertyGuardians #PropertyGuardianship #PropertyGuardian

Sadly some organisations are having to spend large sums of money to protect their PEOPLE PROPERTY & ASSETS..... Safetell Ltd will continue to work with many Retail organisations and Petrol Forecourts across the UK and ROI protecting and keeping colleagues and stores safe. Reducing the increase of crime currently against people, property & assets, improving staff retentions and recruitment. Sadly violent and abusive behaviours is on the rise. These confrontations might be over in a matter of minutes, but for many victims, their families and colleagues, the physical and emotional impact can last a lifetime. ~ Safesheild Colleague Protection Screens - Retail Workers Safety Matter. The Less Lethal Option for Security Officers, Business and Homeowners; Are You Prepared? In 2024, the security industry, like law enforcement, finds itself needing more tools in the use-of-force toolbox. While Tasers and pepper spray are routinely carried by most licensed security personnel alongside a firearm, most security company owners and officers mostly believe likely never find themselves in a position to deploy any of these weapons; until they do. In January 2024, in Los Angeles, a uniformed, armed security officer responding to a residential burglary alarm call shot an 88-year-old homeowner through a window, believing the woman was an armed burglary suspect. In February 2024, an armed security officer shot a man in a vehicle in a Home Deport parking lot. The officer told LAPD the driver of the vehicle tried to “run him over,” when the security officer fired at the driver. In July 2024, contracted armed uniformed security officers working in the LA Metro Train System shot a man armed with a knife in Hollywood, after pepper spray failed to stop the knife attack. These are just some of the security officer involved shooting that have occurred in Los Angeles in 2024. As the full effects of Props 47 & 57 and AB 109, along with “reimagined” public safety in California, Los Angels County and City, are now recognized as a failed social experiment that has led to rising homelessness, rising quality of life crimes, vandalism, burglary and home invasions, the question becomes; is deadly force our only option? In July 2024, a Tarzana man was able to confront and run off three would-be burglars with a paintball rifle outfitted with a tactical flashlight! The burglars ran off like roaches when the light hit them, and they saw the outline of the rifle! And, while I am a former police officer, Army military police veteran, and NRA pistol instructor, I recognize that a homeowner, business owner or armed security officer must have options other than deadly force. I recently completed the train the trainer instructor course in Las Vegas, Nevada and have become a firm believe in the Byrna less lethal handheld and rifle launchers. They fire a .68 caliber kinetic or pepper ball round that has stopping power. The nice thing about the Byrna is it has an effective range of up to 60 feet, moving at 350 feet per second. Being armed with a Byrna allows the security officer, business or homeowner the advantage of distance from the suspect/subject they are trying to keep away and get to safety. They say, “when seconds count, police are minutes away.” If you’re ready to train and outfit your security officers, or if you’re a homeowner, business owner, or simply a man or woman concerned about your safety while in public and at home, but have no desire to shoot another human being, send me a DM and I will explain our training program!

This story of two employees from a Real Estate Company in Kiambu who stole over Sh15.6 million from their employer within a period of 18 months, is a classic case of conspiracy and modern-day computer fraud. From this story, we emphasize that pre-employment screening and continuous employee monitoring are essential tools for identifying and preventing incidents of fraud and conspiracy in the workplace and safeguarding their assets
