Don’t just go ahead and start blaming your media buyers for a poor performance. Ask these questions yourself first: - Is your product page optimised? - Is the pdp content persuasive enough to make them read more? - Have you tested multiple offers? (Most IMP) - Are you providing creatives with a proper strategy to them or are they just some random creatives? Start with this first, media buyers who are just managing your ad account, there role is to have a campaign structure which is stable, and scalable. If you think they can just run some magic and you’re gonna get some amazing results - sometimes you while, sometimes you won’t. What I want from my media buyer? Ask “Why” as much as possible. The more questions, the more curiosity to find answers and the more ways you’ll develop to test it out and the better you become at media buying. Saying that, we’re looking for a media buyer to join our team. We’ll start hiring soon :)

🤯 Recently, I was presented with the opportunity to partner with a $700M brand seeking media relations. Spoiler alert, I declined. 🕵🏼 Upon reviewing their history and *their* reviews on BBB and Google, I found hundreds of astonishingly terrible reports from consumers accusing them of fraud and scam-like behavior. 📣 Saying this out loud --- NOTHING, not an army of PR pros pitching and training, journalist interest, TV appearances or top-tier "hits" can do anything for you if your business practices are predatory and careless. If the media gets past the reviews upon their own research and covers the brand, it only leads to more consumers leaving more negative feedback if the business model refuses to change. BBB, Facebook, Reddit and Google chatter goes further and will outlive any article. 🛠️ Work on your business model, be fair and good to your partners and consumers and then engage the media through a professional. 🗣️ With over two decades as a PR professional and having watched my grandfather lead PR for a global household brand, I can tell you with my whole body and soul, the authentic, earned media relations you seek will NOT come to fruition any other way. 🔥 If you are a CEO who wants to be interviewed by a top-tier journalist to feed your ego, go ahead and get in that hot seat on the record, defend your 1 ⭐ BBB rating and see how that works out for you. Then turn around and spend hundreds of thousands to pay an equally scam-like company to hide your negative feedback. You thought earned media/PR was expensive 🫰🏼 😆
