Really interesting paper on the impact of investor sentiment and emotions in the cryptocurrency market. A key finding emerges: Positive investor sentiment is more substantial than negative sentiment in driving cryptocurrency trading. This could mean that people invest in cryptocurrencies not to safeguard their money against losses (due to inflation) but due to hope of getting a big return and getting rich. This could make sense given cryptocurrencies are associated with phrases such as ‘to the moon’. Link to paper: https://lnkd.in/ea-GE7-q

Elliott Wave (EW) theory is indifferent to volume, primarily because the optimal trading opportunities often arise during the second wave, where volume can be minimal or significantly bearish. Volume typically surges during the breakout of the third wave, but by waiting for this volume increase, you risk having to chase the market. Consequently, I don't focus on volume in my analysis. There's substantial evidence suggesting that cryptocurrency volume is often artificially inflated by exchanges to enhance the appearance of liquidity. #TradingInsights
