More cheap crap tract homes built on farmland - postage stamp sized lots & priced way above what they’re really worth. Remember folks - no farms, no food You Can’t eat a house or graze cattle on a 1ac lot. Increased pollution, increased stormwater runoff & increased traffic congestion. Near Blacksburg - 150+ homes, crammed in like sardines at 450 - 500k ea. Our inept county & town government allowed this development in the name of “greed & growth”. Our town & county government is h*ll bent on destroying what makes the NRV a good place to live. In 7-10years this area will be indistinguishable from Northern VA - high taxes, high crime, oppressive overpopulation & growth. I’d argue that we’re already 95% of the way there right now.

𝗧𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝘆, 𝗚𝗔 | $𝟮,𝟴𝟬𝟬,𝟯𝟴𝟬 | 𝟴𝟰𝟴.𝟲 +/- 𝗔𝗖 Listed by: Todd L. Crosby & Reagan Odom The Battle Creek tract consists of 848.6 acres in Tattnall County, a fast-growing area of Southeast Georgia. This property offers frontage and access from Slim Ray Road (County Road 277) and a frontage along Rudolph Flowers Road. The management of this offering is apparent with an extensive internal road system, gated entrances, multiple established food plots, and varying age classes of intensely managed plantations. There are potential revenue streams with long-leaf straw production and the continuation of sustainable timber management practices. In addition to the natural features, the property offers approximately 8,000 feet of county road frontage. This is an excellent opportunity to purchase a large recreational sporting property in a region of SE Georgia where properties of this size and quality are rarely available. 🔗 : https://lnkd.in/eKScuaKU #landforsale #sales #landbroker #landagents #conservation #landowners #landownership #realestateagent #recreationalland #timberland #investmentpropertiess #plantation #agriculture #land #wesellrealestate #LandRealEstate #LandSpecialist

Both large and small private forest owners are looking at these closures and thinking about the future of their forests. When forest product markets shrink – or vanish entirely – timberland loses value, increasing the pressure to sell or convert the land. Mill closures leave private forest owners wondering, "Should I keep my land as a forest for the next 25 years, knowing there might not be a mill left? Or is now the time to walk away from forestry?" https://lnkd.in/eBqknGsK

Caring for land is increasingly more important than turning a profit; fewer people are looking to buy farmland this year but that doesn’t mean more are looking to sell; and a higher percentage of people expect land prices and cash rents to remain steady this year. Those are all according to the new LandOwner Annual Land Survey Report. https://lnkd.in/gfbtEVBa
