When you build a bridge to "get over it" it shows others it is possible. This bridge was constructed to help support a gold mine. It is no longer functional, yet it serves as a reminder that it is possible to achieve success. Some may have said it is not possible (back during the appropriate era for the gold rush), however as you can see it is still standing. It was not built to just get over the river, it was built to support the activities of the gold mine. Newmont CEO Tom Palmer, discussing the Golden Triangle, called it “a Fabulous district to be in,” adding, "a significant proportion of the metal that we'll produce out of British Columbia will be copper from the Red Chris block cave, it'll be copper from Galore Creek, our partnership with Teck [Resources] (TSX:TECK), and we'll have a nice amount of gold from Brucejack as well as Red Chris and Galore Creek." Cannindah Resources (ASX:CAE) in a trading halt pending resource announcement on their porphyry related breccia mineraslisation. Been a long time coming but thinking this could suprise to the upside. Receieved some negative press from MoneyOfMine regarding re-releasing old gold results recently. Sitting at $33m market cap. Would be great for the North Burnett Region to have a significant Cu-Au resource. Just up the way Alma Metals (ASX:ALM) JV with Canterbury Resources (ASX:CBY) onto a very large albiet low grade Cu porphyry with grades similar to Caravel Resources project in W.A (same directors). If these projects start to look economic the next issue is, who will look to build a plant. Mt Morgan is long gone. Northern Star Resources posted 400,825 ounces of gold sold in the March quarter at an all-in sustaining cost of $1,844 an ounce. The company said All-in costs of $2,620 were higher than a year ago driven by the continuation of capital growth projects across the Group, led by the KCGM Mill Expansion Project. Northern Star said it remains on track to deliver guidance and despite a challenging March quarter that was impacted by significant weather events, Gold sold is expected to significantly increase in the June quarter. Great Boulder Resources Ltd (ASX:GBR) managing director Andrew Paterson joins Jonathan Jackson in the Proactive studio to discuss the discovery of a new shallow, thick high-grade vein extending the Mulga Bill deposit at the Side Well Gold Project by at least 150 metres north of the deposit’s existing 568,000-ounce resource. Reverse circulation (RC) drilling at the northern end of Mulga Bill yielded significant results, including 32 metres at 8.38 g/t #gold from 104 metres, with a notable section of 18 metres at 13.76 g/t from 104 metres. Additional strong results include 16 metres at 2.12 g/t gold from 108 metres and 26 metres at 3.31 g/t from 88 metres. The discovery extends into Mulga Bill North, where gold mineralisation has been defined over a 1.5-kilometre strike.
