Chinese Lunar New Year 2025: Why is it the Year of the Snake? 2025 is the Year of the Snake according to the Chinese zodiac calendar, a 12-year cycle represented by animals. Each year is associated with a specific animal, influencing the characteristics of those born under its sign. Babies born in 2025 will be snakes, following 2024's dragons and preceding 2026's horses. The cycle continues with the Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Goat, Monkey, Rooster, Dog, and Pig, each representing a different year in the repeating 12-year sequence.
Happy Chinese New Year to our customers, followers and partners who are celebrating today. Wishing you all a prosperous and positive start to the Year of the Snake. 🐍

🇸🇬 Happy National Day, Singapore! A nation renowned for its knowledge-driven, resilient, and forward-looking spirit. Wishing all my Singaporean friends and colleagues continued success and prosperity. In the West, we can certainly admire—and perhaps envy—how you consistently turn dreams into reality. Singapore is the prime example of science-based country and the justification why other small nations should not stop dreaming.
Happy National Day, Singapore! This year, we proudly celebrate 59 years of independence. As we reflect on our nation's journey and achievements, let us continue working towards a better tomorrow together, as one united people!

Free to be me As we celebrate South Asian Heritage Month, let's take a moment to reflect on the power of self-discovery and embracing our true selves. 🙌 In a world filled with expectations and societal pressures, it's essential to pause and strip away the noise. By doing so, we can tap into our authentic selves and step into our own power. 💪 Remember, embracing your true self is not about disrespecting others, but rather about centering around your purpose and respecting yourself. It's about honouring your unique journey and allowing yourself the time and space to explore and grow. 🌱 When you give yourself the freedom to follow your intuition, amazing things can happen. Your path will become clear, and you'll unlock the potential within you. 🚀 So, this South Asian Heritage Month, let's celebrate our diverse heritage and empower ourselves to be unapologetically authentic. Together, let's embrace our true selves and make a positive impact on the world. 💫 #SouthAsianHeritageMonth #Freetobeme #Authenticity

I found this post to be very interesting. Clearly, a league table featuring best to worst. But also need to consider the starting point. Look at the EM vs the DM. A fascinating look, with some idiosyncratic subplots and a value stories embedded within. Jacqueline, thanks for sharing! Something to think about.
It’s always good to start the year on a positive note. There’s a lot of positivity in Southeast Asia.

On this day we celebrate Australia and all people a part of her. I believe there are more things that connect us than divide us. In a world that is dominated by disconnection, driven my media propaganda, political agendas, global influence and personal interests it's more important than ever to look for the things that actually connect us rather than divide us. If you believe in the power of energy, of frequency you will know that your thoughts, feelings and emotions not only impact a room, a nation, but the world. What could change if we chose to focus on what connects us rather than what divides us? What could we create? What IMPACT could we have? That's what I will be pondering today. Happy Australia Day 2026.

Yes, my real name is William Edwin Walsh V. But that's not the point of this video! It's about the concept of "The Cultural North," and how anyone who shares our vision can be a part of it. Watch this:
Strive to be the cultural north with us!

The American Addiction Centers recently reported that despite lower substance abuse rates, there's a hidden crisis among Asian Americans... Here’s what you need to know📊 🔍 Alarming Treatment Gap ▪Only 3.3% of Asian Americans needing substance abuse treatment receive it, compared to 11.1% of the general population Why the Gap? ▪ Cultural barriers, language issues, and stigma around SUD are key factors Interesting Subgroup Differences ▪ Drinking: Japanese Americans (13.1%) vs. Chinese Americans (9.1%) ▪ Heavy Drinking: Korean Americans (3.5%) vs. Chinese Americans (1.2%) ▪ Marijuana Use: Korean Americans (9.2%) vs. Chinese Americans (2.9%) By delaying seeking help, severe consequences arise, often leading to arrest, hospitalization, or homelessness, making intervention a forced necessity. We must continue to raise awareness and improve access to culturally sensitive treatment options for all. 📌 https://lnkd.in/eMeGCBFB #SubstanceAbuseAwareness #AsianAmericanHealth #HealthEquity #EmployeeBenefits #WorkplaceWellness #DiversityInclusion #BreakingBarriers
May is Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage Month—a time of commemoration that not only highlights the rich traditions and contributions of these communities but also underscores the ongoing challenges they face in achieving equitable health and wellness. May is coming to an end, but it's imperative that we continue to support initiatives that enhance cultural understanding, promote health equity, and advocate for systemic changes year-round. Let's continue to foster and strengthen partnerships with Pacific and Asian American communities. Building and maintaining strong connections with local leaders, communities, and organizations will help amplify voices and address specific needs. By working together, we can cultivate a more inclusive society that recognizes and values the contributions of all its members!
