In reflecting on my trusted colleague's post, I focused on the phrase, "never let anyone devalue your worth." I quickly identified that often the person devaluing my worth the most is me.
Me, when I'm stuck in imposter syndrome, or not feeling up to snuff with where I want to be.
Me, when I assign value to the thoughts and perceptions of others, assuming they are devaluing me when that may not be reality at all.
Me, when I don't taking risks on myself or my abilities because of fixed mindset doubts.
Me, when I compare my accomplishments and achievements to those of others; comparison is the thief of joy.
I leave this as food for thought for you: how can you ensure you are not devaluing yourself, and that you are treating yourself with the same respect, support, esteem, and grace that you would someone in your circles?
One of my focuses this year has been to challenge my assumptions, confirming or correcting them before decisive action. This extends beyond assumptions of a project, situations, or the decisions and actions of others. I strive to challenge any negative assumptions of myself, as they are often false or fixed mindset.

Just reflecting on the chat I had with our next generation of leaders a few weeks ago…Never let anyone devalue your worth…leadership opportunities are not just awarded, they are earned….#freegamefriday#wordsmatter#nbmbaacharlotte
🌟 Cracking day with Rob Savin and Nick Gander from Super Infinite! It was great to get all the Seniors, Managers and Customer Function to focus on how we, all as leaders, can improve our listening, focus, problem solving and resilience!
😅 I have attended many leadership training sessions before and it is safe to say Nick and Rob smashed it. Steven Bartlett always says "Sweat the small stuff" - they certainly did this, creating a bespoke and personal day.
3️⃣ 3 Things that made this session stand out:
1. They understood what we needed and what was going to be the most relevant for US, beforehand
2. They got the balance between theory, practical thought provoking exercises and tools to take away
3. They have a plan to follow up with us and see how we are impacting our takes and tools from the day
🎨 Oh....and the flip charts (cracking job Nick!)
🤙 Anyone in my network looking for a valuable leadership development day - give them a shout!
🙉 I am looking forward to catching up and showing them what we have RAPIDly been up to, on our journey to all be Walking on Sunshine (the chimp blockers have come in handy whilst writing this post!)

This goes back to what one of my mentors taught me in one of my past roles in my career. Leaders step up and just do the work! They lead by example. Don’t just do your job, Lead and be there for your team! They deserve it and so do you!

Embarking through 'Voices of Leadership', Hemal Athapaththu, General Manager - Plantchem & Plantseeds, highlights how leaders intertwine personal and professional ambitions, sacrificing individual goals for organizational success and how service and sacrifice underscore their pivotal role in leadership.

Hooray! To celebrate Ariel being named as a top leadership development company (again), I wanted to share three things I love about Ariel:
💜The Ariel Experience-
As a young teacher, I learned pretty quickly that I’d rather focus on filling my students hands than trying to fill their heads. It’s pretty simple: if I helped them have meaningful experiences, not only did they learn concepts more effectively, but it meant something to them personally.
Reaching “hearts and minds” is a buzzword in corporate speak lately, but for Ariel, it’s our guiding star.
💜The Ariel Partnership
At Ariel, the focus has always been about getting you results in a way you feel good about.
That means we fall in love with your problems and sit with you on your side of the table. It’s a difference you feel in the process, see in the solution, and measure with the results.
💜The Ariel Culture
Not only do I work with some of the most capable people I know, but they’re genuinely delightful people.
It’s an environment of trust where I know I’m appreciated and wanted. I don’t have to worry about gossip and drama. We do good work and have fun along the way.
Proud to be a part of the Ariel team.
