Some employers are wary of Gen Z workers. I believe the Gen Z workforce is innovative, tech-savvy, and creative. Let's focus on their strengths and not conformity. Gen Z brings fresh perspectives, unique qualities, and attributes to the workplace, such as: Adaptability, Teamwork, Collective problem-solving, Data Analysis, Design Thinking, Empathy, Creativity Mindset, and Digital Intuition. It is essential to recognize that GenZ is not fundamentally different from previous generations. We need to celebrate our strengths and foster our collaboration. #genz #workforce

We've been showcased in Ayesha Curry's magazine, Sweet July. Explore the insights our CEO revealed: 1. The DEI discourse will pivot towards emphasizing inclusion and belonging, moving beyond diversity and representation. 2. Faced with rising layoffs, companies will explore inventive approaches to keep employees engaged. 3. Organizations will integrate data and artificial intelligence to enhance inclusion and engagement strategies. Aerodei platform quantifies inclusion efforts in a fun and tangible way for both employers and employees. The goal is to create a forum where both groups can come together and see the impact in real time. https://lnkd.in/eKMC4zD3

Flicking the bird at the status quo | Award Winning Rebel🏴☠️| Most Influential Woman in Construction 2024 | Women’s Safety, PPE & Retention Specialist | Speaker | Mining Geologist | Bold as Brass Tribe Founder
Yesterday I spoke to Megan Dodd and the evolving women’s network team at Portakabin about creating a prosperous women’s network for change. Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are a brilliant way of getting the employees’ sense of your company’s culture across the middle management layer, and as long as they have senior level sponsorship, resources, and aren’t expected to take on the role of an I&D team, they can have a huge impact on locating the sticking points in your business. ERG champions can be the voice and educators that spread the word of change, and ERG chairs the relayer of information from members to senior levels. The groups should be for those who identify, as well as allies and advocates. ERGs can also take the name of ‘network’ or ‘community’. A ‘network’ is a cobweb of people who interact to support one another when it’s needed, like in the Bold as Brass sense of reaching out for help and meeting people who can mentor and teach skills. A ‘community’ is a group of people linked by common experiences who feel a sense of place in the presence of one another. They may share a common goal or vision and members may be diverse in characteristics. I love being part of a community, like my village community - you can’t go out for a walk without bumping into someone who knows you just enough to remember how you were the last time you saw each other (so important when I was on maternity leave during covid time). And our gym community; the sweatiest, honkyest, smiliest group of unlike-minded people who push each other on to achieve, whether they’ve known each other for 20 years or 20 minutes. Being around people united by a common purpose is what gives me a sense of belonging - ERGs, network groups, or communities can help your workforce in this way too. #boldasbrass #network #community #tribe

Yes - VBR is certainly the thing to be doing in 2024. If you want to attract, and more importantly RETAIN, top talent, you should be starting with making sure that work based values are aligned. #valuesbasedrecruitment #companyculture #toptalent #fitmejobs
The VBR experience, attracting more talent in a Competitive Job Market: Values first ! Two months ago I posted “If you don’t know your values, I will not apply and work for your company !” (https://lnkd.in/eFdhRPuY). While I was strongly believing in this mind shift, I did not have evidence to sustain the statement. Today I have. AccentJobs, the recipient of the 2023 Trends Impact Awards in the Diversity & Inclusion category and a client of fitme.jobs, has reported a doubling in the number of candidates. What has changed? VBR clearly is part of it. It’s all over their website. Whether you will join them or not is strongly linked with your values aligning or not with theirs. Read Anouk Laga’s testimonial in Trends today (https://lnkd.in/e84mbipx) Can you imagine how happy I am with this validation so close to home? Values first ! Other companies have registered to this approach and I cannot wait telling you about their increased employer branding and obtained KPI’s. Stay tuned. If you are interested in joining the quickly growing pool of adopters, let me know and we can find out if VBR is something your company should consider. #fitme #sustainability #recruiting #VBR

For a community to thrive, it means members have gone from being strangers to becoming allies. They must enthrone an atmosphere where trust, collaboration, and shared goals prevail. The people must have worked together to build deep-rooted connections, Allowing understanding in all areas and working together for the common good of all. ⚡To enable trust and collaboration to thrive, You must break down barriers of all kinds. This means every member must embrace diversity and inclusion. You must celebrate what makes each member or group unique. You have to lay the foundation for meaningful relationships and collective progress. ⚡Communication is Key: Effective communication is the bedrock of any successful community. It's not just about talking; it's about listening, understanding, and empathizing. By encouraging open dialogue and creating spaces where everyone feels heard and respected, We can bridge divides and find common ground for all. ⚡Finding Common Ground: While we may come from different backgrounds and hold different beliefs and views, there are always areas where our interests align. Whether it's a shared passion for the environment, Or a commitment to education, Identifying these common goals can unite us and drive positive change. ⚡Collaboration Over Competition: In a world often defined by competition, true strength lies in collaboration. By pooling our resources, talents, and ideas, we can achieve far more together than we ever could alone. ⚡Empowering Every Voice: Inclusive communities empower every member to participate and contribute. This means creating leadership opportunities, fostering a culture of respect and equality, and ensuring that everyone has a seat at the table. When we value and uplift each other's voices, we unlock the full potential of our community. ⚡Celebrating Success Together: As we journey from strangers to allies, it's important to celebrate our successes along the way. Whether it's a small victory or a major milestone, acknowledging our collective achievements strengthens our bonds and inspires us to continue working toward a brighter future together. From strangers to allies, the path to building a strong and vibrant community is one of trust, collaboration, and shared purpose. By embracing diversity, fostering open communication, and working together toward common goals, we can create a world where everyone feels valued, supported, and empowered to thrive.
