I love to share this post from the CEO of KraftHeinz. First of all, I find his openess in sharing his views and thoughts refreshing. Second, I find his view on learning from companies outside his own industry most interesting. Also because he is sharing his view with the outside world. I agree that connecting with- and learning from other industries is wise. In my work as area manager for the spirits beverage company Bols Int. I have learned a lot from my Spanish and Italian distributors. Concerning communication with others, influencing, management, negotiations, care for other cultures. Also discussing vision/mission on C-level. And I learned from my former Swedish Marketing Sales Director Mats Walberg, to also expand your network outside your own industry. To, indeed, get different perspectives and ideas regarding your own business. To find new growth in your business, do things differently. Don’t copy the competition. Look outside your branche.
Last week, I had the privilege of attending 📍 Harvard Business School's New CEO Workshop, where I spent time with a small group of new CEOs from all different industries and countries. Despite having very different businesses, we face many of the same challenges and we learned so much from one another. During the workshop, we had the privilege of hearing from amazing leadership experts Hubert Joly, Bill George, Amy Edmondson, Nitin Nohria and Mihir Desai. They shared a wealth of knowledge and experience with us (they also have incredible books I recommend reading!). At Kraft Heinz, we talk about the importance of continued learning and staying curious, no matter where you are in your career journey. We are organizationally committed to a growth mindset, and that includes me. I’m grateful and better for it!

Applications are now open for our 8th Product Leader Summit (Sept 19 in the Bay Area)! This is THE premier product leadership conference for product execs. And new for this year, we are adding an optional 2nd half-day of pure networking and fun with a Half-Moon Bay excursion (think horse back riding, cooking classes, segue tours, golfing). Product Leader Summit is an invitation-only, curated executive event that helps you build your product leader network. We bring together a group of 120 product execs and product-oriented founders to connect and learn from one another through keynotes, workshop breakouts, peer learning discussions, and networking opportunities. Our NPS score each year is consistently in the high 70s/ low 80s. We get about 800-1000 applications each year, and early applicants are always given greater consideration. Thank you to Sharon Su Plasser and Sam's Club who will be hosting us again this year. This labor love project is presented to you by: Gibson Biddle, Vidya Dinamani, Sarah Bernard, Dan Olsen and me! Link to apply in the comments!

Extremely happy to conclude my participation at Novelis Reverse Mentoring Program with my mentor Gabriel Fernandes Sekine! We had opportunity to talk about and learn together different points of view on so important topics, such as models of talent attraction, retention and succession, meritocracy and long-term incentives, burnout, quite quitting, diverse ways of junior leadership development and, of course, how to promote a more digital culture at company! 😎 And you, Mr./Mrs. C-level? Have you stopped to listen and learn from the younger generation in your company? Please, share with us your learnings! 😉 #novelis #reversementoring

One of the things I’m asked most often is “How can you help me?” There's more detail over at my website, but in short, here are some of the ways that I am working with clients: ⭐ Individual Coaching ⭐ Alignment Coaching – helping leaders and individuals get clear on the goals and find a mutual understanding of their expectations of each other ⭐ Team/Group Coaching ⭐ Leadership Mentoring ⭐ Workshop Design & Facilitation (with a focus on both progress AND having fun!) ⭐ Assessment tools for recruitment and for development ⭐ Needs assessment, for when you know you want/need something, but aren’t quite sure what that is I love people, and I REALLY love helping them to be their best, especially when I can help bring clarity in complex situations. If you are curious about any of the above, I’d love to hear from you 😊

Engineering, Product & Design Leaders Event Update.... 🎉 Our workshop topics have now been confirmed 🎉 For our next Leadership event happening on March 5th (here at Wave Talent) we have now finalised our topics. This is the first time we're bringing together leaders from Engineering, Product, and Design! We've been chatting with everyone to make sure we cover what's most relevant, and here's what we've settled on: 👉 What OKR’s and KPI’s can drive shared goals and success between Product, Design, and Engineering? 👉 User-Centric Approach: How important is empathy for Product Engineers to understand user feedback and data, tailoring their work to meet real user needs? 👉 The Emergence Of The CPTO If you're a leader in Product, Design, or Engineering and you're up for joining, let me know and I can share the link with you!
