If this middle-aged, plus-sized, nappy-headed, nerdy, eyeglass-wearing, tree-hugging, queer Black woman with big feet and a non-traditional runner's body can complete 50 miles, then trust me - you can surpass your own limits too. 💪🏾✨"
7 Life-Changing Lessons from My 50-Mile Ultra 🏃🏾♀️✨
When I started at 2 minutes on the treadmill, I never imagined I'd complete an ultramarathon.
Here's what 50 Miles taught me:
1. Size Doesn't Define Ability 💪 - Your body can do amazing things, regardless of its shape
2. Start Where You Are 🌱 - My journey began at 2mph. No shame in your starting point
3. Pain is Temporary 🌅 - Yes, there will be pain but it doesn't last but the pride of finishing lasts forever
4. Gear Matters ⚡ - Having the right equipment can make or break your journey (this one led me to create VestaPak!)
5. Hydration is Non-Negotiable 💧 - Skip this and you're done before you start, this might be why I created Conscious Gear LLC, wink, wink!
6. Trail Running = Therapy 🌲 - The truth is, for my entire life I could hear God talking to me but it wasn't until I got on the trails, that's when I started to really listen. They say nature heals what the gym can't reach.
7. I'm Stronger Than I Thought 🦾 - I feel like a walking miracle every single day, and by putting one foot in front of the other, I'm here to tell you that so are you.
From barely walking on a treadmill to crossing that 50-mile finish line - trust your journey, embrace the process.

Nike does it again. They just aired an inspiring commercial featuring a quote from Track and Field Sprinter - Sha'Carri Richardson
“It may look like 10 seconds to you, buts it looks like a lifetime of work for me”
Today, marks the 6 month anniversary of Deebo, my entrepreneurial venture.
While it has not been a lifetime of work, the pace of entrepreneurship can certainly make you feel that way.
In the past 6 months, Deebo has reached 300 homes with 16 five-star reviews. I’m really proud of that.
I wanted to share a few behind the scenes stats of what gets poured into launching and building an e-commerce / product business:
➡ 7,000 inventory pieces > physically counted and inspected by a human
➡ 500 hours at the warehouse > managing the supply chain
➡ 300 handwritten thank you cards > to each customer
➡ 150 Google searches > that begin with “how to…”
➡ 100 wasted hours > learning things, then unlearning, then re-learning
➡ 30 podcast episodes > self learning while orders are boxed
➡ 10 XL rolls of tape > packaging tape, painters tape, logo tape. SO MUCH TAPE.
➡ 2 compressed air dusters > surprisingly, there are a lot of ways to use these
➡1 trip to Vietnam > meeting the dozens of people who bring Deebo to life
In case you’re wondering - Deebo is direct to consumer, at-home otoscope, for parents to check their kids ears, nose, and throat at home. It gives families the ability to collect information during those early days of sickness, when it’s too soon to take them to the doctor. It saves families from unnecessarily cancelling their schedules to run out to get a “hunch” checked out.
I use mine every time my kids get sick. Thermometer first, Deebo second. Then I figure out how to run my day.
I’m looking forward to the next 6 months.
The struggle is real!!!
It’s Saturday, my Creativity Day! And I’m STILL working on the same upcycling project to turn two shirts that didn’t fit anymore into one that does!
It has certainly been a struggle to turn my idea into a reality! And harder than I originally anticipated! That’s okay though! Struggle is always part of the creative process. That’s because nothing is perfect, and figuring out how to work around those imperfections requires patience, stamina, and, of course creativity!
And the understanding that nothing (including you) needs to be perfect! As you can see, this hem isn’t perfect. But it’s on the back, and the only one who will see it is me! And unless I told you, you wouldn’t know!
When my upcycled shirt is finished, I’ll enjoy wearing it! Not just because it’s a fun and funky bright colored blingy shirt (and you know that’s my style!)…but because it contains the record of my struggles and perseverance…and my creativity!
Yes! The struggle is real…and a normal part of the creative process!
What are you doing for your Creativity Day today?

What? Have you never heard of our Favolite?
This is normal :)
Why is the Favolite brand little-known but able to maintain sustained growth in stage moving head light sales?
Please listen to me explain in detail to you:
Firstly, we, Favolite, have been deeply involved in the LED moving head light race for 10 years.
Secondly, because our company's philosophy is pragmatic,
Not doing too much brand promotion.
Most importantly, we have devoted more time and energy to product development and practicality,
It can be said that it has unique craftsmanship.
Because we know,
If the product quality is not good,
No matter how big the brand is, it's useless,
The ultimate loser is still the consumers.
