Hi everyone. I’m doing tough mudder next week for Spread your wings charity. They raise funds for children with Angleman syndrome. Angelman syndrome (AS) is a rare neuro-genetic disorder that occurs in one in 15,000 live births. AS is often misdiagnosed as cerebral palsy or autism due to lack of awareness. Characteristics of the disorder include developmental delay, lack of speech, seizures, and walking and balance disorders. Individuals with Angelman syndrome will require life-long care.Because of its genetic relationship to autism and other disorders, many researchers believe that curing Angelman syndrome will lead to cures for similar disorders. Angelman syndrome research is on the cusp of potential treatments to reverse the debilitating symptoms of Angelman syndromePlease click the link and sponsor me at least £1. We are only 3k off our target of raising 20K!!!Thank you. https://lnkd.in/g5faPxAx

How do you use your influence for good? Stitch or Sequence this: I’ll go first. Since my diagnosis of having an inoperable brain tumour. I have been raising awareness of brain tumours and I have built up a supportive community that now classify me as a micro influencer. I’m a mum to a miracle child and I have a slow growing brain tumour. Throughout my journey I’ve connected with so many people who find strength in my story. This is what inspired me to launch Influential Stars ✨ Alongside my team #TeamConnell we are championing charitable causes throughout the UK by not only raising awareness but also by encouraging community involvement. We create a meaningful impact with meet and greet prize draws where people can tick off a fit list activity with a creator and all in aid of a charitable cause. Think bucket but instead replaced the B with an F! That’s the type of list we are talking about it’s not about keeping fit. It’s about doing something for good. Every step we take is about helping others empowering hope and empowering people to contribute to a better future. Help us spread positivity and together we can make that difference. Sometimes life can feel overwhelming, and obstacles can feel insurmountable. This video from BI Phakathi sharing this gentlemens journey is so powerful. It really makes me reflect and think “how badly do you want it? How hard are you willing to work for your dreams?” How badly do you want it ? We have a lot to be grateful for. https://lnkd.in/gG23mnrm

Strengthening your core promotes better posture and helps reduce the risk of falling. In this video, Lori demonstrates two core exercises. Before beginning, warm up by activating your core by bracing your muscles in your torso. Then, while holding a large ball (it can be beach ball, basketball or medicine ball-size), extend arms forward. You can bend your elbows at first to make it easy, then challenge yourself by stretching your arms outward. No ball? In the second exercise, lift your arms, alternating left and right. The smaller the movement, the more challenging and effective the exercise. #seniorfitness
