Nature already has the answers—we need to pay attention. I’m grateful to have been invited to join the 2024-2026 Biomimicry Professional (BPro) cohort with Biomimicry 3.8. This program isn’t just about studying; it’s about getting out there—into the ecosystems themselves. From rainforests to deserts, we’ll dive into six unique biomes, learning firsthand how nature solves complex challenges with simplicity and cooperation. Biomimicry is all about learning from nature’s designs and processes to create innovative solutions for human systems. It’s the ultimate blueprint for sustainability, taking cues from ecosystems that have been thriving for millions of years. Having walked with stakeholders on the ground across supply chains, I know the power of immersion programs. There’s no better way to see the big picture and make real connections. This time, the focus is on using biomimicry to rethink supply chains and tackle climate change from the ground up—literally. It’s about leveraging nature’s genius to create impact where it matters. I'm excited to take what I learn and put it into action. It’s time to build smarter, sustainable systems. 🌱 Let’s get to work. #Biomimicry #Sustainability #Innovation #ClimateAction #SupplyChains #Nature #Impact #Gratitude
Professional Training Manager at Biomimicry 3.8. * I have a deep passion for makers and for everything wild in this world.
Biomimicry 3.8 is excited to welcome 18 new people into our community—as members of the 2024-2026 Certified Biomimicry Professional (BPro) cohort! Check out this amazing multi-disciplinary group from around the world, below. Collectively, they’ve explored the interstitial spaces between biology, engineering, social innovation, business, design, and sustainability. Their ages span four decades, and they speak multiple languages including the language of biomimicry! The globally-renowned BPro program is a part-time, two year, rigorous course that integrates an accredited Master of Science in Biomimicry degree through Arizona State University with in-person immersions run by Biomimicry 3.8. The core purpose of the program is to train and mobilize an international, networked community of professional biomimics who become the leaders in this burgeoning practice. Join us in congratulating the extraordinary, seventh BPro cohort!

Really? Is that all we can do? This is what I am saying while they are taking this photo of me at the Whale Tank pitching contest at the Innovation Network Gathering last week. Addressing the critical issue of global clinical trials, it's evident that existing tools predominantly focus on the US market, leaving the rest as manual research. On stage, I highlighted the blindspot that clinical research teams have - the ex-US countries. Understanding the patient's pathway is crucial, as demonstrated by a colleague in Israel. Moving from the USA to Israel, their treatment cost decreased from $15,000 to just $5 per month. This significant shift emphasizes the impact of healthcare systems on clinical research and patient perceptions. Healthcare systems play a pivotal role in shaping the clinical research landscape, affecting strategy, budgets, and patient acceptance. I firmly believe that we can do better. My team and I are committed to facing the hard challenges of running multinational trials and enhancing the success of clinical trials. Recognition at the Whale Tank event fuels our drive to push boundaries and strive for more successful clinical trials ahead! 🚀 #ING #clinicaltrials #standardofcare #clinicaloperations #patientrecruitment
