Do you know what Movember means and what it celebrates? The word "Movember" comes from the contraction of "Moustache" and "November." It's not just about growing facial hair; it's a movement that stands for something much more significant. Movember is celebrated as Men's Health Awareness Month, focusing on crucial issues that affect men's well-being, including mental health, suicide prevention, prostate cancer, and testicular cancer. It's a reminder to all of us to be aware and informed about these critical health concerns that impact the lives of men around the world. By raising awareness and supporting research, we can make a difference. Let's join together this Movember to spread awareness, support those in need, and encourage open conversations about men's health. Together, we can make a positive impact and promote a healthier, happier future for all. Last week, in celebration of Earth Day, our Pittsburgh colleagues teamed up with the Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy to remove several invasive species at Hays Woods. Hays Woods is a beautiful, natural park in the early stages of restoration. This was a great opportunity for our team to get involved and support a community initiative. #fisherscientific #science

As we celebrate the back-to-back observances of Black History Month in February and Women's History Month in March, it serves as a powerful reminder of both the progress we have made and the continuous journey we are on as a society to create a future where everyone has equal opportunities to succeed. Throughout history, there have been so many extraordinary trailblazers who have paved the way for this progress. Today, I am reminded of the shared responsibility to open doors for future generations and provide career opportunities that allow everyone to reach their fullest potential and perform at their very best.
