The question every fashion brand asks: How often and when to launch? There is no one-size-fits-all answer to this question, but the traditional fashion calendar offers a good starting point. This calendar is split into six key collections, each designed to target specific seasons and consumer needs. ▪️Transition Collection (End of August or Early September): This capsule collection bridges the gap between summer and fall, offering lightweight pieces that can be layered as the weather cools. ▪️Autumn Collection (After Setting Up With Transition Collection): Launched after the transition collection, this is typically your biggest collection of the year. It features fall-ready staples like sweaters, coats, and boots. ▪️Holiday Collection (Early or Mid-November): Capitalize on the holiday shopping season with a festive collection of party dresses, cozy knits, and gift-worthy items. ▪️Resort & Pre-Spring Collection (End of December or Early January): Look forward to spring with a light and airy collection of vacation-ready pieces and transitional styles. ▪️Spring Collection (Early February): As the weather starts to warm up, introduce a collection of fresh and flirty dresses, skirts, and blouses. ▪️Summer Collection (Around April & May): This is your final collection of the year, featuring swimwear, shorts, tank tops, and other warm-weather essentials. Remember, this is just a general guideline. ⚬Consider your target audience and their needs. ⚬Be mindful of weather patterns in your target market. ⚬Stay on top of fashion trends, while also maintaining your brand’s unique identity. By following these tips, you can develop a launch strategy that will help your fashion brand thrive. What are your thoughts on the traditional fashion calendar?
