GURNER Group unveiled its latest wellness concept. The Australian development company is readying social wellness club SAINT, debuting in Melbourne’s St Kilda this September. Not to be confused with sister brand Saint Haven, the latest iteration caters to over-25s seeking a “high-end playground of health, connection and revelry”. Luxury to the core, GURNER is building a wellness empire. Last year, it launched Saint Haven Melbourne, with two additional sites on the way. And in March, it announced plans for Elysium Fields, a longevity-focused neighborhood. While it caps club membership, GURNER™ Group sees no limit on its wellness ambitions, with the segment’s revenues expected to hit ~A$300M in the next six years.

Understanding the social value of leisure facilities and the work we do is becoming more and more important. Max Associates and 4GLOBAL PLC were commissioned to assess the social return and community impact of the Wellness Hub at Grimsby Health and Wellbeing Centre in North East Lincolnshire an area with high deprivation and health inequalities. The study showed that the Wellness Hub – which has inclusive fitness solutions including power-assisted machines supplied by Innerva– benefits those who don’t typically engage with conventional fitness facilities, attracting older adults, those on low incomes and people with long term health conditions. By meeting the needs of those who are under-represented in traditional facilities, the Wellness Hub has generated exceptional social value (£187,139) for the community. Wellness real estate is a growth engine. Projected to surpass $887B by 2027, it’s the fastest growing sector of the wellness industry — and for good reason, with studies showing 80–90% of health outcomes are linked to where and how we live. Becoming more conscious of built environments, 73% of homeowners and renters say health impacts will be a factor in selecting their next home. Scoping out living spaces, they’re considering health-enhancing features, like: Nearby gyms 🏋️ Community events 👥 Public parks and trails 🌳 Walking and biking scores 🚲 Farmer’s markets and CSA’s 🥕 Exposure to arts and culture 🎭 Clean energy and green buildings 🌎 Taking it up a notch, some are even installing spa-like features in their homes — from biophilic aesthetics to meditation spaces and cold plunges. Purpose-built private developers are paving the way for governments to follow. And, as demand grows, wellness real estate could become the new normal. 📊: Global Wellness Institute

There's a movement afoot. Ostensibly, it's about health and wellness. But allow me to posit another idea: 𝗶𝘁'𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗼 𝗮 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀, 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸, 𝗶𝗻 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀, 𝗼𝗿 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆. Everyone is looking for more places to connect in a meaningful way. The rise of elevated health and wellness clubs like the Continuum Club and Remedy Place follow the trajectory of other co-working, meeting and hospitality platforms like Convene, Soho House & Co, The Core Club, NeueHouse, Maxwell Social, reshaping how people meet and work, making every gathering memorable and meaningful. They're all creating cultures that value collaboration over convention and flexibility over force. These clubs are not just spaces but beacons for a new era, where every interaction is an opportunity to foster connection, well-being, and a collective reimagining of how we integrate our personal and professional lives. I'm rooting for all of them, but especially my alma mater, clients, and friends at Convene. Honestly, they're killing it right now, and I couldn't be happier for them. #realestate #hospitality #thirdplace #healthwellness

An insightful breakdown of the benefits and principles behind wellness lifestyle real estate! The emphasis on physical health, mental well-being, and sustainability truly sets these communities apart. It's fascinating to see how developments like BedZED and Serenbe integrate eco-conscious design with amenities geared towards fostering a sense of community and personal wellness. The discussion around the WELL Community Standard is particularly intriguing. It's impressive to see how this framework not only prioritizes the health and well-being of residents but also encourages continuous improvement and adherence to rigorous standards. Integrating health and wellness considerations into every stage of development, from planning to management, is essential for creating truly holistic living environments. At the H, we fully understand the importance of advocating for these principles within development teams and guiding projects towards certification processes like the WELL Community Standard. It's not just about constructing buildings; it's about shaping communities that support and enhance the lives of their inhabitants. #WellnessDesign #MultifamilyFitness #HealthyHomes #WellnessCommunity #AtTheH #MultifamilyWellness #HealthFocusedHousing

🏟️ Introducing Sports-Ville: A Hub for Community Wellness 🏟️ Dear Connections, I'm thrilled to share with you an innovative Urban Design Academic proposal aimed at enhancing the quality of life in our vibrant community. As an advocate for healthy living and community engagement, I'm excited to present the concept of Sports-Ville, a dynamic initiative aimed at promoting the ethos of LIVE.PLAY.GROW. 🔍 Identifying the Need: In our pursuit of enriching the lives of athletes, sports enthusiasts, and fitness aficionados, it became evident that our community lacked a centralized hub for sports and recreational activities. Upon thorough on-site and surroundings issue mapping, we identified a prime location adjacent to the Nehru Enclave Metro Station - Paras Ground. Despite its potential, the area lacked adequate sports infrastructure. 🏋️ Empowering Athletes and Enthusiasts: Our research delved into the existing sports facilities and their capacity to cater to the needs of our community members. With Sports-Ville, we aim to bridge this gap by providing state-of-the-art facilities tailored to accommodate diverse sporting interests. From basketball courts to fitness studios, we're committed to ensuring that every individual has access to top-notch amenities for their athletic pursuits. 🚶 Accessibility Matters: Understanding the importance of accessibility, we meticulously assessed travel times from different area-wise stakeholders. Located conveniently near the Nehru Enclave Metro Station, Sports-Ville promises easy accessibility for residents across various neighborhoods. This strategic positioning ensures that individuals can seamlessly integrate sports and fitness activities into their daily routines. 🌳 Revitalizing Community Spaces: In addition to Sports-Ville, our proposal extends to the revitalization of Paras Ground on the other side of Kalkaji Main Road. By reimagining this space as a vibrant community park, we seek to foster a sense of belonging and relaxation among residents and the working population of Nehru Place. Connected to Nehru Place via a subway, this revamped park will serve as a tranquil oasis amidst the hustle and bustle of urban life. 🌟 Promoting Physical and Social Infrastructure: Both interventions, Sports-Ville and the revitalization of Paras Ground, are poised to significantly enhance the physical and social infrastructure of our surroundings. Beyond promoting physical well-being, these initiatives are catalysts for community cohesion and holistic growth. As we embark on this transformative journey, I invite you to join hands in shaping a healthier and more connected community. Together, let's champion the spirit of LIVE.PLAY.GROW and pave the way for a brighter, more active future! #CommunityWellness #UrbanDesign #SportsInfrastructure #LIVEPLAYGROW #SportsVille #HealthyLiving #CommunityEngagement
